Ranking all Horde cities

So I already did this with the other faction now it is time to switch it. Alright let’s go!

  1. Silvermoon. Without a doubt the prettiest thing the game designers ever got paid for. Prestine streets, golden colors, magic trees, a huge palace district and an atmosphere that screams ELF anywhere we go. A masterpiece of fantasy and I hope Midnight makes it even better after the revamp is done.

  2. Suramar. Next in line another elf city honestly a bit bigger then Silvermoon but the purple color seems a bit of. I know its technically night elves but there is a lot of empty space that was filled with hostile mobs. It has the potential to be better then the blood elf city but for that the Legion phases need to go away.

  3. Zuldazar. The first troll city on the list. As long as all larger tribes are villains sadly this one has to do. Showing MHPs once and for all that trolls are not just a bunch of savages and are capable of building settlements that can match Stormwind and Ironforge bit for bit. The music, the golden structures, the various dinosaurs, jungle trees and the rest make it feel truly great when you walk through it and pay respect to the pinnacle of the first civilization on Azeroth that wasn’t dragons or elves. Good job Blizzard please do the same tribute to zul’aman while you are at it.

  4. Undercity. Spooky. Goo. various kind of corpses and the dark stones underground give the feel of uncertainty. Sure they had the chance to build their capital in the ruins but it feels like sweet irony considering Arthas had the same plans for it so Sylvanas essentially showed him the middle finger with this. I hope it becomes accessible again because just sitting in the former Lordaeron remains would feel wrong and erase the Forsaken identity.

  5. Bilgewater harbor. Until we get to Undermine this will do. It shows the track of all goblins building up new stuff very fast. Now if they give it a bank, vendors and a boat route I would have no criticism for it.

  6. Darkspear Isle. It is small sure but they are the smallest tribe so it fits. Nothing more to say about it at this point. Maybe some additional buildings in the future but troll huts and some walls are enough to house a few hundred trolls.

  7. Thunder Bluff. Literally just Tents on a mesa. No creatvity. Just rocking the boring native americans vibes without grandure, architecture or anything else. Sorry but it just feels wrong to be there. Another reason why Tauren are the race I dislike the most.

  8. Hammerfall. Does this even count as capital? More like backwater town because Thrall wanted the Mag’har out of Orgrimmar.

  9. Orgrimmar. Worst for last. Mudhuts, spikes and dirt. that is Orgrimmar summarized. The worst city in the game by far. Nothing great or complex just Orcs being portrayed as axe swinging savages without sense for civilization. I play many Orc characters but I hate their city with all my heart. If there is any city in this whole franchise that is in dire need of a fully grown revamp it is this. Sorry Orc mains but you have to admit that this city is simply an oversized barracks and not an actual settlement.

I left Vulpera out since they are nomads and not in the posession of and permanent place they can stay in.

It is a shame that all the cities in game are wasted except Stormwind and Orgirmmar.

excuse you?
We do have a permanent settlement, burrows.
Sadly not represented ingame properly: https://wowpedia.fandom.com/wiki/Abandoned_Burrows

It’s not a real settlement sorry. Not everyone can be as awesome as the alliance. Even the diaper gnomes have their own city.

Moo Erevien Moo. I mean, boo Erevien boo.

Thunder Bluff is the best. It’s very pretty and inviting. But, more importantly, it’s unique and different, and therefore better than other cities.

Hate the truth so much?

Didn’t know Erevien’s opinions are truths. BTW, you forgot Thunder Totem, second best city in WoW. So much of you knowing cities.

I love Thunder Bluff. One of my fav cities in the world (of Warcraft). The music, the setting. Unique atmosphere. Silvermoon and Suramar are indeed both gorgeous, I still hope they clean up Suramar one day, and spruce up Silvermoon, hopefully with Midnight.

Thunder Bluff is bad in every standard to measure city design.

Orgrimmar is the best.

Orgrimmar is the worst sorry

Ah yes, the alliance heavy tinted eyes. How you’d ever consider Silvermoon pretty otherwise is beyond me.

It’s disgustingly gold, red and purple. You dump on Thunder bluff, which is epic beyond compare, only to glee at the shallowest, most lifeless of cities.

It’s almost as horrible as Exodar. Almost.

Yes, I am triggered and will fight over any TB slandering! Moo brethrens, unite! /s

It is not slander it is a fact. That city is very bad indeed and you need to realise that a city has real buildings in it. Thunder Bluff is a nomad camp at best.

Bro what?
Have you even been to Thunderbluff?
They’ve got fixed, wooden buildings on the rises.

They have large tents and thats about it. Silvermoon will defend its status as best city coming Midnight I am sure. Blood elves will feast.

You’re factually wrong.
