So i’m pretty much an OCD guy in the way that I NEED to have everything completed at all times and yes i am willing to farm raids over and over again in order to get the mounts i want, however there’s quite a problem with open world rare mobs that drop mounts.
For instance aeonaxx, it’s kinda killing me that i cant get a chance to drop the mount every 4 days or so cause everyone is after it. and it’s kinda annoying going into deepholm constantly just to see if it’s spawned, so, is there any addon that can tell me if a certain rare mob has spawned?
NPC_Scan if it’s still alive is what i used to use back in the day, only thing is certain rares need you to input their id code manually but if it’s still alive it was a top notch add on for rare hunting. You do tend to need to be in it’s range though before it will alert you, again it may have changed.
Try SilverDragon or RareScanner.
You need to tweak them a little bit to get rid of a lot alerts!
If you want Aeonaxx, you will have to camp. Checking into Deepholm every once in a while probably isn’t going to cut it.
I camped pretty much 24/7 for 15 days straight before I got him in early 2018.
I can’t really recommend any addons though. I tried NPC Scan, added Aeonaxx’ ID, but it only alerted me when I moused over him, which is kinda redundant

This. I spent 2 weeks of playtime in Storm Peaks when I was farming tlpd.
Aeonaxx took me like 12 minutes tho:P
imagine before when only 1 could loot it. now just make a raid
That only works for some rare’s they recently changed it again so some can only be looted by a party .

Silver dragon turned out better for me than rarescanner, less annoying xD

I know I’m going to make a lot of people REEEEE but you can always buy it, sometimes people have alts who camp for it and sell it when it’s up, join a trusted community’s discord to be sure you won’t be scammed.
I suggest like many other just to camp him… Or ask Blizzard for faster spawn time xD Rares that has 100% droprate seems easy compare to like Sha of Anger…who is always up and never drops his mount… have over 3000 kills across all my chars on that fella…aaaand nothing xD
