I’ve been hunting a few rares for my hunter pet and have found a few and was wondering if you see a Rare in a Zone that’s before Mists of Pandaria, does it make you even a little excited?
I’ve found some I’ve never seen before, like Dirkee, and was just wondering if anyone else was even bothered.
Edit: Looking at my achievements I have killed Dirkee before, and I just don’t remember.
I remember playing on a Tauren, having just completed the mezzarache or whatever quest, and then seeing mezzarache when i walked to thunderhoof water well.
Back during MoP there were a few pets that you could only track as a hunter using Flare. Took me a while to get the tiger, but it was a good hunt for a great rare. https://www.wowhead.com/npc=50850/savage
On second thought, maybe i read your post wrong. But seeing a rare elite in pre Pandaria zones is always a little surprise. I like it, wish they would spawn a bit more often
Depends, some rares in lowbie zones without any outstanding rewards can usually be found here and there. If there’s something to be gained from it then the likelihood of seeing it drops.
I’ve got Poseidus one night I couldn’t sleep at like 3-4am, I was really happy.
Like those mount ones in Draenor…I dont think I found a single one when the content was current. Went back a couple of expansions later and just flew around picking them all up instantly!
As for hunter pets I think Ive seen most of them now, the only one I have never yet managed to find is Skoll (I really dont have a long attention span for camping though).
Any rare really but it’s more about rares you don’t expect to be there, unlike the Mists of Pandaria and after “rares” that you expect to see all the time.
I came across him just when I came out of Ulduar. My chest was tight for the next half hour, and I was so smug I mention it in g chat whenever possible.
