They suck. This is all. Why can’t it be one or the other? Doing both is so depressing. Just sitting afk refreshing lfg for hope that the rare is up, is not game play. But then again it boosts play time so profit right?
Since Lich King we had rares with horrendous spawn times and high(er) drop chances.
In Legion Blizzard realized that the formula we have now is much better for the morale of the players.
The feature has been there for 10 years, the complaint comes a bit too late. Sadly this system won’t be changed.
The rares with big spawn timers AND low drop rates are quite recent (started with BFA mechagon patch) in lich king etc. when you found a rare the mount was guaranteed. So it’s not like the system in place is so old.
I’m sorry but all of the mechagon rares have 45-60 minutes respawn time. Comparing that to the old time lost proto (that was around 14 hours if you were lucky) and Poseidus (even more than 14 hours) is just…
Sure it is shorter than poseidus. Thing is, when you slap a lower than 1% drop rate you might as well x100 the spawn timer, because this is the actual time you will have to wait (on average) until you get the mount. And not all rares are in the below 1 hour mark. Soundless and some others can take longer than an hour to spawn.
Yeeeeeah no. You can’t say it’s the same thing for the likes of Soundless where it’s both a LONG respawn timer AND a very low 0.5% drop rate.
It’s way worse than TLPD.
Aye, but soundless is the exception, not the rule.
