Rares Zereth mortis

Completely impossible to get to any of them before they die, Ive spent several hours wasting time running to map markers only to find them dead. Why is this still a problem? last expo the zone was smaller, there was some time, it was still bad then, now the zone is much bigger and there is no time at all to get to them, how could they have made it WORSE.

so don’t chase rares? kill the ones you come across. why are you spending several hours trying to kill rares you can’t seem to get to? you don’t need to for progressing in the zone and you’re just making the game not fun for yourself.

The Korthia shardhide whistle works for a little speedboost but yes they do die quickly. The patch is new though so that’s to be expected not much you can do about it.

I mean, during prepatch of SL bosses were announced minutes earlier to give people time.

Instead of suffering memory loss each patch cycle they could write down things that work and, you know, re use them.

tbh if i want to kill zm rares i just join one of those kill parties. otherwise its not worth the time. by the time i notice the rare on the map its already dead and im not even half way there.

i suspect it gets easier a couple of weeks/months in.

Saved me plenty of times, in a group of 40 I only ever see one or two others use it.

I haven’t done this chasing malarky and I’ve killed loads of them. Change your tactic :stuck_out_tongue:

I’ve given up, they just drop dead so fast. and camping one spot is just so boring.

If one spawns near me I’ll try to get a hit on it but even then it can be challenging.

Are you trying to get from one side of the map to the other? Because that’s not a particularly efficient way to do it.

Install an Addon like SIlverdragon which shouts out when Rares spawn and clear the ones near you when they arrive and work your way around the circle.

I’m not missing any really

think ive done 2 treasures 2 rare and 2 world quests
and for patterns within patterns i got to 50% of the bar
and the quest look who i found is available(rewards a pet)
got two boe epic necks one with vers/mastery other with crit/haste
curious what % the world boss will give to this quest when its available

its def a korthia quest bar now i finished and got crit/haste boots
7725 anima deposited and enlightened friendly all condults at 226

I usually go bear, tag them with a lunar fire and some provoke from time to time.

“Funny” thing is, since I just stand there I have time to take a good look at things:
A retri comes: wings.
Hunters: big covenant spells.
Mages: runes.
Etc etc

I mean… I’m not saying you have to wait for everyone to come, but is it necessary to use every big cd?

When you have tagged it you want it dead asap. I had rares that took quite a lot of minutes to kill since it got tagged by so many people…

That’s definitely an exaggeration. At most 1-2 minutes.

If everyone did it like this, you’d still save time cause you’d get to many more rares in time.

At least 5 minutes on a spider in a cave. You just only see the millions HP go up instead of down.

Mm could be, I got there twice in time.

Still, don’t you think you’d end up winning if it took longer and you could get to more rares with your (let’s say) 60 minutes playtime?

I don’t know, maybe I’m wrong but that’s how I think.

I don’t know. I am not rare hunting. I quest and when a rare shows up where i am i try to kill it.

But to be honest, i looked at my dps after that boss, and i had 13 usages of my vesper totem on it. Which has an almost 1 minute cooldown. I am definitely not exagerating about the time it took to kill it.

It probably depends on how big the server/shard is you are playing. I got a big server, so many players tag it and that grows the health pool of the bosses.

Yeah there has been this nuke it culture for some time, no gentle tagging and letting people get there.

I have no time for people who only come on to tell people how to play and to not have opinions. Feedback gets things changed… sometimes. staying silent does not.

This was actually kind of fun, groups gathering before a spawn and dueling, using toys, showing off mogs and mounts. It was actually the most social thing I’ve seen in game for quite some time.
They could even have a mixture of types of rares, some on a timer like the pre-patch ones, some that just randomly spawn (maybe even in random locations) at random intervals, some that are almost instand re-spawn and are up most of the time, some could be very rare like TLPD and you hardly ever see them. This would cater to a wider mix of players. Some will camp the really rare ones as they like that sort of thing, some will only do the up all the time ones as that suits their play style.
