Mythic is a major step up in organization with the realm lock and the 20man fixed size. Then why does the optimal progression path include 2 mythic bosses before going Raz heroic.
I might argue that the earlier heroic and mythic bosses are undertuned.
And for the health of the game I hope Blizzard think you are very, very wrong… They need to be easier by several degrees. (Blizzard seem to agree somewhat with the 10.0.7 ring.)

It has always been like that. Raz isnt the first boss and she wont be the last where this the case. It potentially allows people to gear up further before trying to tackle an end boss and also wont turn the first couple bosses into abominations. You would have to buff the ever living poop out of Eranog, Council and Terros (since some guilds also do Terros first) if you wanted them to be harder while having their current mechanics or shower them in additional mechanics.
Plus the loot pool of the final boss also plays a role in regards of how many players or guilds are willing to tackle it. Razageths loot pool is not really attractive on its own (except for Hunters) and there are a plethora of alternatives. Its Tier piece drops from the Vault even if you havent killed her (it also rules out having the rest of her lootpool in the vault if you havent killed her so its a blessing (less vault rng) and a curse (not tier pieces dropped from a kill) at the same time).
Jailor wasnt all that different at the start until people realized the Gavels strength and the buff to his loot like the trinket.
If an end boss drops gear that is being desired people are willing to put more time into it and otherwise wont bother until they semi overgear it. If Razageth would drop the Council and Broodkeeper Trinket you can bet on it that more people would have gone for her.

No, Sylvan as was doable carrying subpar dps and heals as it was mostly a mechanical fight.
Razzy is a dps race.

I totally agree and I made a similar topic about this
- Blizz noticed boosting is a thing
- WoW token appears
- Content gets increasingly difficult every patch and expansion
Coincidence I guess.
I’m a bit curious why my guild is also unable to kill a mythic boss too (was as of a few weeks ago) given the gear. It’s a bit frustrating.
First of all, this is heroic and the last boss should be significantly more challenging than the rest.
Second of all, get good?
Nerfs are coming and hopefully that will help more people get a kill.
Not got to Raz HC will these nerfs make a difference to those struggling (IDK which is why I am asking)
In terms of this topic being a complaint about Raz specifically, it’s good news for those who have been struggling to get her down.
For those who aren’t quite there yet it’s obviously not going to be a lot of use.
The two bosses I don’t enjoy in pugs are probably Brood and Dathea. It’s amazing how much people can mess those two up. Yet they are really easy in guild runs.
I’m currently without a raid team so I only have the pug option xD
Pugs are good at 1 thing, brute forcing mechanics.
I think this kind of difficulty curve discourages people from even stepping into mythic. Strict group size is another thing, but this was discussed back in MoP.

so why they make always the bosses very hard at start, then nerf again and again?
Because of different levels of skill. However the nerf wasnt really needed for both Heroic since Heroic can spam M+ valor as of tomorrow and Mythic since that one isnt particularly hard either after the first pusback nerf she received but can be excused since there are specs that are pretty much powerless against it (and thats just bad design)
To stretch the race to kill the endboss by the best guilds, because apparently a lot of people care about that…
The real race is over since a long while. Mythic guilds also tend to not be a fan of nerfs since it leaves a bad aftertaste unless its a borderline dumb mechanic that requires class stacking.
Meh, the real top guilds know they beat it pre-nerf (When it’s on farm, having it be less trying seems like a plus to me), but the sub-top guilds (Mythic level, but not RWF-material) will have people starting to get demoralized and leaving by now, so they’ll be welcoming the nerfs.
There’s a sizable difference between top guilds and also-ran guilds, even within one particular difficulty, so Blizz can either nerf as the tier progresses, or split up difficulties even more, nerfing Ras is the simplest solution, and if all the talk about Ras being quite a hefty step up from everything else in that raid, the most appropriate.
Shes a step but but the fight still isnt anything out of the ordinary. The only real nerf she needed was the first pushback one. Maybe if you have a really wonky setup also the nerf to the sparks.
But you said its to stretch the race. The race is done already. And even amongst the Hall of Fame there is a hefty difference in skill, speed and time investment (plus there were already nerfs to her while the hall was still open).
most annoying thing with raszageth is the knockback
I always see people getting knocked off even when someone explains tactic
Yep the tactics on the boss arent the issue. Its people refusing to read what others explain, refusing to look at the markings people put down for them and refusing to learn from their own mistakes
