Rated Battleground Queue Times Bug

Hello Everyone, my names Apriltwelve and friends and i have concluded that the Rated Battlegrounds Queue Sytem is broken as of the release of 8.1 Tides of Vengence

Broken you may ask? well ill break it down to you :slight_smile:

With the release of patch 8.1 there has been a extreme increase in the time it takes to find opponents in Rated battlegrounds, this by up to 3hours Per Game

we did test this by having two teams (within 10~mmr difference at 2850 and 2860) queue up at the exact same time and we both had a 35minute queue.
we also tested this by doing the same thing at lower mmr (1800/2000/2200/2400 and 2600 all games versus equal matched opponents 10-20mmr difference) all these tests resulted in up to 35min extra time or More! for the system to put us versus eachother “Match is ready”

Now Prior to 8.1 there would not be such a delay in the system to identify and find/create matches.

all i ask is that blizzard looks into this and or reverts any changes they have done that has put the system into this bugged state.

Please if youve noticed similar things let everyone know here so we can get blizzard to look into it. im sure you have all noticed an increase in the time it takes to find a game!

Update: the promised hotfix did nothing, still 40min queues.

https:// prnt.sc/ m0relx (remove spaces) 45min Queue, Re-queued and it has now been over 1 hour 12minutes of a total 2hour+ queue and no game

Just super sad how they stealth change stuff like this and actually ruins everyones fun, if they keep this change PvP will for sure die out even faster than it already is.

It’s hard to dodge with these que times.

I second this. I know it is a problem since 8.1 specifically and a lot of my friends have this issue especially, in my experience, from 2800 to 3200 mmr.

this is outrageous! Never have I ever experienced such bad queues!

Definitely something that should be looked into.. Whether there is a reason for this or not , its quite frustrating since ppl are wasting too much time sitting and doing nothing… Hopefully its a bug

Revert changes, same problem in arena queues aswell. Fix this.

This needs sorting, whether it’s some sort of safety measure against queuing into the same team you cannot hope to handle multiple times, or it’s just a bug in how MMR differences are being calculated currently. It needs fixing.

Also worth noting that some of the best games any teams have are the multi-game series against the same team MULTIPLE TIMES in a row. The RBG ladder is not populated enough to add any form of rematch protection, and a lot of the people who play the bracket don’t even want such a thing, regardless of if it could work or not.

Apparently my previous comment was bad, please blizz fix this issue. Christmas is a happy time with the ones you love and if these guys don’t get what they want i’m afraid they will go after my family. For the love of god do something!

Stop trying to fix stuff that isn’t broke. Its RBG, lets the snipers snipe, and let the dodgers dodge.

Our mains can’t get a q pop btw @blizzard. 2½ hour q and no pop, are we too good to play your game? we get punished for not being garbage :frowning:
