Hi, this have been said before but it needs to be said again: This game need a solo queue for rated pvp, both arena and RBGs.
Having recently come back to wow for shadowlands I find myself back to old patterns when it comes to pvp activity. I am spending a lot of time logged into the game but little time actually playing it.
One have a limited ammount of time to spend on games with real life demanding its share and often one would rather play something else where one can just log on and have fun right away. I really love WOW but I feel the lack of solo queue and how time consuming it is to find groups really make the gaming experience far less enjoyable than it should be. (finding pve groups are usually easy and fast, but finding decent pvp groups/teams is another story completly).
Finding groups and decent people to play some games with take an unreasonable ammount of time compared to how much time one actually get to play the game. Also when one play a class that the communiy think of as unviable or underperforming that also add to the problems one might come across.
People also say that solo queue wont work because the game is about finding people, building comps and progressing with the contacts you make. I hardly find that an argument considering all the problems one encounter with overgeared people, highly skilled people boostin others at low ratings and amateures who themselves have been boosted only to use their “acheivements” to sneak into other peoples groups and screw them over with their bad playing. There are a long list of problems with todays system and I cant be bothered to list them all up. Making a solo queue as an extra ladder for people who just wanna have fun playing but still have some “challenge” and opertunity to progress without having to spend 10 times more time finding new friends/teammates that actually playing would be very welcome.
All this combined overall lead to fewer people actually playing and enjoying pvp. I also feel solo queue would be a interesting meta where one might see more diversity when it comes to class/spec representation. One could just keep the old rating system while introducing solo queue. Then one could just choose if one preffer to play solo or with a premade team. Cant see how this could hurt anyone.

Look at the amount of people playing abhorrent comps on low rated right now. Now put them in a solo-que scenario.
You already have that experience in skirms. It would 1000% be the same experience.

It would lessen the time in LFG but oh boy would it increase the frustration…
Never ending threads that would complain about the comp RNG and the luck on the mates…

Solo que wont work in arena. I know lfg is trash because I am there daily but solo que wont fix the problems. Blizz has to step in and change the lfg or make another venue for us to find players.

As one play more games more skilled people will win more and mmr system will kick inn make it function.
Funny how people say stuff wont work or isnt doable. This is a game so the developers can make whatever they feel like work as long as there are people willing to play it. Cant see why wow cant have a solo queue option along with the more serious rating system we have today. At least for a big share of players one could spend more time playing the game than sitting in LFG or waiting on groups for form etc.

I would still use lfg, in order to get optimal team comps.
One could easily make an team-X would beat team-y example in ordinary rated pvp also. Theres nothing new about that, its how WOW have always been.
Bottom line is that the current system with lfg or discord groups etc., are timeconsuming and takes away time one could actually spend on playing the game. I dont see how having a quicker alternative for people interested could hurt while at the same time offering some opertunity to get a reward.

Solo/Duo rated RBG que is necessary (so RBG where you can join solo or with your trusted friend and end up with other randoms and versus other randoms) NO PREMADE VS RANDOMS BS
My eyes just hurt looking in LFG for hours, i spend more time looking this table than playing.

The quality of LFG groups are so bad most of the time it feels like a random BG, so I am 100 % sure solo queue will not ruin the game experience. Even groups where people have gear, achievements and CR, it still flop most of the time as the LFG system is bad and makes it hard to find the right people. I think an automatic MMR system actually could make better groups than what most people achieve in LFG.

Actualy if you are good player you shoud be able to maintain your win bias above 52% in solo RBG, and its easy to make mathematic ratting gain from that
I asure you its even worst experience spending your playtime waiting for hours to group to form and staring into LFG table, being declined by those meta obssesed kids, who play mage and sits on 1800, yet deny you to play because you dont play desired meta class… dont get me wrong if some guy main mage this season and no get at least 2k, we are talking about stupid person, and see those low intelect people are there to make nightmare of your LFG if you not play meta. i disrespect them with all my being, wow reached the point where people checking before invite like we gonna drive space shuttle to mars not play the game.

tbh I don’t see any problems with a separate solo q ladder. u could just give the players the option to choose specs / classes to be teamed up with.
sitting in the capital and not finding any suitable teams is frustrating af

Agreed. The time wasted in LFG and how hard and time consuming it is to get groups are a big theme for many people. When one read this forums its clear that a lot of people would want a solo queue for rated pvp.
Cant see why there cant be a solo queue and a regular premade queue in all brackets. Then people can choose what suits them best.
I dont think you should be able to choose which class you team up with yourself, because that would mean that the least popular specs getting stuck in endless queues. But blizzard themselves could easily set it up so you get paired with a viable partner. If blizz did that i so no arguement against solo rated other than “WOW is a MMO”.

Nobody is gonna open threads to complain about teammates. Look at Overwatch, you can always be teamed up with trash players. This is unfixable.
Everybody knows that to fix “getting matched with bad teammates”, the only solution is more playing games and increasing your rating. If you’re teamed up with trash players and are a good player, then your rating will increase.
E.g. put Pikaboo or any R1 playing with any trash player on earth and they will surely reach 2k rating after a certain amount of games. If they can do it, it means everybody can.
Solo queue should be based on mmr and give a random parter with the same mmr as yourself have. Having an option to choose classes to play with is not the concept here, for that one would have “regular” rated pvp.
And the argument about having bad teammates is universal. MMR should fix this, and remember that your oponents could get bad team mates aswell. people usually forget that and just think about themselves.
