Rating gating 9.1.5

New Rating Title Item Level
Rank 1 Unranked 220
1000 Rank 2 Combatant I 223
1200 Rank 3 Combatant II 226
1400 Rank 4 Challenger I 229
1600 Rank 5 Challenger II 233
1800 Rank 6 Rival I 236
1950 Rank 7 Rival II 239
2100 Rank 8 Duelist 242
2400 Rank 9 Elite 246

why???
better but still garbage.
All the feedback down the drain again
ilvl gap stays exactly the same, just a little easier to make it a little smaller since you can reach 1.2k if you afk.

and where is conquest catch up. Still don’t want to play the game on alt to farm 1k arenas for gear

hey at least boosters can now sell 1950 rating instead of 1800 cash in $$$$$$$

will also be interesting how your current gear will transition. So if you got rival gear now, will it go to rival I or rival II or it depends on your CR or highest you got in S2
what a mess

if EU’s cr is worth more then you should lower the needet cr for cosmetic rewards imvho

less player = cr is worth more

9 (NINE!) ranks???
Higher ilevel gear requiring even higher rating now?
So my rival and duellist gear will get downgraded?
People asked for 3 damn things, removing ranks from honor gear, increasing the amount of conquest you earn in arena games and removing the gap between gear in pvp (by scaling lower ranked gear a bit higher in pvp) but they just made it the opposite.

Honestly I dont believe that blizzard is that stupid. I am 95% convinced that they did it out of pure malice. They did it with the intension to make it an even worse experience for whatever is left out of pvp community.

Lower item-level PvP gear will now scale to a higher item-level in PvP situations than before. This should reduce the power level gap so that new characters can feel that they’re able to compete in Battlegrounds and Arenas more readily. This change will not affect high item-level PvP gear.

This change will not affect high item-level PvP gear my @ss.

hey they just means that the reduction of power gap will not apply to high ilvl gear xD

i am not surprised anymore

but it is unreal that they listened to a lot of stuff like cov switch and totally troll pvp community.
But I am almost certain they will fork up the cov switch as well… wait for it…
They didn’t say yet what “high renown” really means. If it is renown 80, that will be like middle november or something LOL

dont forgett to lower the upgrade cost

nah, need that MAU

horrible system, can they just give us basic pvp gear already…

Thats pve ilvl on the right, we dont know yet how it will scale for pvp combat
and they specificly mentioned it before the table:

  • Lower item-level PvP gear will now scale to a higher item-level in PvP situations than before. This should reduce the power level gap so that new characters can feel that they’re able to compete in Battlegrounds and Arenas more readily. This change will not affect high item-level PvP gear.

No. I earned my duellist gear, I spent my time and effort on it, I dont want it to get nerfed. Not by 4 itemlevels, not even by 1. Nerf in PvE is still a nerf and I see no reason for it to exist other than to spend more time on the hamster wheel.
If they wanted to add more ranks to even it out they could have done it below duellist, not by nerfing duellist and rival gear.
What is happening now is basically your employer coming at you, telling that now you earn 5% less wage and need to work 3 more hours per week to get your old wage.

What’s the point to push rating now… Somehow they decided to nerf Duelist gear more. For real, what’s the point of this progression if I can Zerg +15 and get better rewards. And don’t start with, blah blah blah it scales in PvP better.

And also, how the f**k, AFTER change like this, 2400 gear is still lower than +15

so its less lucrative for minmaxer pveers to do what they dont want aka playing pvp
i think its good

most likely it will reduce boost selling, since most boosts are coming from lack of decent pve gearing in SL. if you saw 9.0 you know what i mean.

genuienly i dont get the sentiment, cause pvp vendors were needed as a path for pvp only players to get the gear in the content they enjoy, not give pve players more options.
if anything this change looks great, especially if lower rank gear scale higher for pvp combat.

you worrie about the downgrades?

i worry about the honor costs beeing even more from rank 1 to max D:

I dont get it, why if player is so skilled he/she must have so big gear advantage. They are dropping rating and having fun against newbies. Kinda against basic logic? newbie no skill knife in hands against pro + sitting in tank? silly example but, something like that

wow they’re actually so braindead it’s insane

Blizzard comes out swinging and misses every single f***ing thing that was needed. Impressive but I should no longer speak, my sub runs out in 2 days. Later chumps!

If you want best pve gear do pve
If you want best pvp gear do pvp
If you ever wonder why your pvp feedback is rarely acted upon read your teen spirit messages

Its always the people who neither do arena nor PvE are defending blizzard’s scummy decisions. You don’t even play the game. Stop writing in arena forum.

Gladi gear is on par with Heroic Sylvanas hahaha.

The pvp gear is an okay change. See what their trying to do with making it slightly smaller gaps between upgrades. My concern with this is just the honour required to upgrade. I just foresee the amount not getting changed for a while and it’s then gna be an insane honour grind. Fingers crossed on that one.

I personally think they should remove honor from rated arena/rbgs and have a higher conquest point per win for catch-up then the same as what is currently given for the current week in progress. Gear is free to upgrade or a stupid 20 honor a piece or something at the required rating. The grind should be the rating not the honor to upgrade all of it  .

Still like the fact they’re looking at issues and trying to resolve them. Many opinions on how to solve one problem and most of them can work in their own way. Let’s hope this is a descent change!

Nah, i enjoy telling arrogant 1% pricks that their opinion on game is usually childish and irrelevant for business success.
