Hello,
i want to bring some attention to a topic that is related to the latest discussions about the current rating system in wow pvp.
There are obviously multiple factors that influence the inflation of the rating system - especially the ladder activity is a big factor for the inflation.
Since Shadowlands Blizzard improved heavily on doing constant class changes which is in my opnion great to have.
However the rating/rewardsystem doesnt fit for that many metashift forced by blizzard and please let me explain you why:
If you pick in the start of the season a class/specc that is s tier, through out the season the power/performance of your picked spec/class can change trasticly with that constant class changes, which leads to the issue if the inflation isnt high enough you cant keep progressing towards your seasonal goals anymore after class changes.
That means if your working for seasonal rewards like gladiator or season end rewards like r1 the progress and work and afford you put into a spec early in the season can be worth nothing when it realy matter - in the end of the season.
So i asked myself why would i lern/practice and put afford into a class/spec early in the season when the class changes through out the season can influence my progression towards the seasonal rewards.
The answer is there is no reason to play more than needed for cap, because as i said, improving on a class can probably not matter later on in the season when it realy matters
In my opnion: Make shorter pvp season with no heaviy class changes (only balancing).
Thanks for your attention guys!
