Raw gold farming options

Who cares if they’re overpriced, if they sell? I don’t care how many people farm mats themselves. I can easily sell everything I have and make a lot of profit.

No. Most people don’t farm their base items, because leveling it past rank two is just not worth it. It’s easier to sell the mats and buy the item - cheaper too.

That’s why you farm with a druid alt. You can herb in travel form, and for ores, just CC any mob nearby, then go travel form and find the next node. If you’re fighting mobs, you’re doing it wrong.

So, sell the mats to those who level professions. Easy.

Which sucks indeed, i could always get those done quickly and then play what i want to play, now i feel like ill be forced grinding out every last silver on repetitive content daily just to get enough for a monthly sub. Meh.

Wouldn’t be too much to ask of Blizzard to allow just enough passive raw gold generation a month through various activities to buy the token.

That 30 min include going around looking for mines, fighting mobs(mostly avoiding) and everything else associated with that activity.

but srsly fishing ;pp find the most expensive fish and go fish. 1 cast=10 sec=60g?XD

Tried it in the past, but the boredom of it makes my brain completely numb. It’s the one acitivty in game that quite literally makes me fall asleep.

You do realize that if they pump too much raw gold into circulation the price of wow tokens also will get higher. You do get that, right? The lack of raw gold farming is the reason why they are 160k instead of 320k like they used to be

You don’t get it.

The price of the token is driven by how much gold people are making.

If everyone was making 50 gold per month passively, the Token would cost a couple of hundred gold.

If everyone is making 60K a month per character passively through Callings - which they are! - the price will rise accordingly.

FYI, there are quite a few places where you can gather herbs, ore, or fish in peace without any mobs. Ardenweald has a few spots where there are literally no hostile mobs, and plenty of herb & ore spawns. You can also fish in the Queen’s Conservatory if you’re Night Fae, which is pretty darn neat.

So… ~2 min flight from Oribos, then 30 minutes running around in a circle, no mobs to fight, no mobs to even avoid, and plenty of herbs & ore to be found. Mad profit.

and if you teleport out and back in of there the schools of fishes refresh. You can just fish iridiscent amberjacks and thades without the dirt cheap lost soles being fished up at all

I like the Queen’s Conservatory. It’s like the Pandaria Farm. But the selection of fish is very limited. Even Bait for the species that sell doesn’t work there (tried it).

its easier to use bait ;/

So it’s driven also by auctioneers. Such serious disregard for the poorer people, not that i expected less from Blizzard.

Who knows, maybe ill give it a try, though how disappointing this expansion has been for me, where i can barely log in anymore for anything other than leveling alts and spamming BGs…the idea of farming herbs or ore only induces depression.

If you want tons of lost soles even tho using iridescent bait, then sure.

Bait is only useful if you intend to fish with wow minimalized to a 5 by 5 cm screen while watching some movie, while the bobber basicly covers the entire screen of that window

Im as casual as can be and this expasion i have not been selling anything on AH or bought anything from it. I want to see what I get from the game itself.
So far after start I have made around 300.000 gold just from quests and loot.
Game token is around 160.000 so no problem with that and the more alts I slowly lvl up the more I get.

Its not, Its more base on how much raw gold people make. If you want to buy a wow token you need to put a bit of effort into making the gold for it. You do realize people who buy wow tokens with real money also want a fair amount of gold for it. And not some pocket change they pasively make already.

We make gold to buy the tokens, but there is another side wich pays real money for the token. Wich also wants a fair amount.

Hmm, sounds interesting and something i could get around to, even if i had to pick every treasure chest and kill every rare, but if i have to click herb and mining nodes, i feel like shooting myself in the head. I just care about the lore, story, immersion(old-school enough) and transmoggs, or collectibles in general.
Either way, ill see if i find something worth my time.

why does the ah and picking up herbs bother you so much? Picking up herbs is basicly just picking up free gold. Especially with the prices they go for atm. I think more people would be more bothered by grinding raw gold like you want to

More to do with the pychological aspect of it, doing such things makes me incredibly bored and often depressed and as a result i don’t want to play the game anymore. Being morally driven and there being very specific things i still enjoy in this game, if i have to deviate from that and do something i don’t enjoy, then it’s a killer for me.
This whole expansion being of o interest to me is already morally degrading, though i was really hyped early on, until they completely butchered covenants and their abilties, but that’s a different matter.

isn’t that the same as feeling like you got to make enough gold to pay for your subscription? Just pay subscription the old way and do what you want. You can’t expect them to give you enough gold without any extra work to pay for your subscription

People who want to pay their subscription with gold got to put in some extra work and people who want to put in extra real money will get decent sum

That sounds a little bulls’‘ty to me, how much are you actually farming to pull those numbers? Prices are maybe high now but not high enough to make millions by just selling random s’'t you get while doing other stuff.
