RDF for Low Levels?

Can we at least get RDF from level 10-70?

Trying to get low level dungeons together is a painful experience. Also, bring back the bag that provided you with a rare belt, bracers or a cloak. It was a great addition to the low level experience.

Having to level through quests solo from 1-70 is soul destroying. This is meant to be an MMO, so make it more accessible for people to do ow level dungeon together.

I actually made a post regarding this specifically a lil while ago. I absolutely second this. The dungeon experience 1-70 is abysmal without the RDF.

I hope they add it soon. Still can’t believe its not out yet.

Comes with ICC patch

Cool I didn’t know this was confirmed I haven’t played woltk for months now because of this.

Adding or not adding RDF from the beginning is a huge debate, and i can understand that blizzard didnt wanna take that decision lightly (since it affects EVERYONE).

But i never understood why they didnt add questhelper from the start. If you dont wanna use it, you can disable it.

Me using questhelper doesnt affect anyone else. Or is there something else im not understanding?

On a related note, did RDF in Wrath even include 15-60 content? I am not sure whether it did or if that was only added in the cata old world overhaul. You know, when they added the quest givers at the start of the dungeons, like they are in UP and CoT and split up a few of the longest ones into sections like Maraudon, Sunken Temple and BRD and L/UBRS.
Someone in one of the old RDF threads back in TBC told me original wrath RDF didn’t even include old world, but everybody discussing it since the announcement seems to just assume it will.

It did yes, but it was a bit clumsy since some level brackets had no specific dungeons. So if you signed up at lvl29 you’d basically just be given Scarley Monastery Graveyard. At 50 you’d only be given BRD, but it wouldn’t tell you which section of BRD you’ve been given.

Cataclysm changed some of the level requirements from low level dungeons specifically to add more variety to the dungeon finder. Which is why Strat was moved to high 40’s - low 50s, scholo was changed to high 30s etc etc

Because they suck and apparently didn’t finish commenting out code from it till just now (it’s actually still iffy if we’ll even get it in the next phase from their wording on that interview).

That someone never played back then, all 5 man content was available through RDF (and some scaled down a bit, like BRD being divided into sections and UBRS being 5 man instead of 10 man).

I know this cause I was always disappointed the goodie bag loot from finishing an RDF dungeon had loot that competed with heirlooms (ie, shoulders or chests) so you never got to use them :stuck_out_tongue:

I know this sounds like an alien concept these days, but there were new players joining the game back then, who obviously wouldn’t have any heirlooms on their first character.

Clearly, and it’s great for them.

The worst part about the goodie bag is getting spellcaster items as a warrior. Or int stuff as a rogue.

Maybe that changed later, but i still remember getting some extremely weird items while using RDF.

That changed around the same time that items all included str/int or str/ag /int/agi but you only benefitted from the main stat. I think it might’ve been WoD?

When I ran dungeons using RFD in WoTLK and Cataclysm, my friends and I would often refer to the satchel as ‘Satchel of useless S**t’. But we grinded dungeons for the exp, not the satchels.

Yeah, dont get me wrong. I rather get the xp over the satchel, its just a minor nuisance. You vendor 95% anyway.

I dont think that was possible, but I think it was possible to get enhance items when you signed up as a resto shaman for example which was a little awkward, but at least you started building offspec sets.
