I have stated why I think server specific RDF without a raid finder is still a social way to interract, you have not stated why you dont think it is.
Do I have to talk in little boy words for you to grasp that in argumentation one side raises a point and its on the other party to contradict why that point is wrong?

The ‘social aspect’ specifically meant long-term interactions between players, not “hello inv pls” type of stuff.
Whether you socialise with players is individual choice, why would I be more likely to talk to someone because they invited me for a dungeon I listed myself for compared to someone who ended up in my random group?
The only thing is in original Classic, you need 40 people to form a raid group so the people you meet in dungeons are more important. That is literally it.

What? You dont need to wait 2h in front of a dungeon waiting for players. Use Lfg chat and group finder.
The first version of LFR was 25 man, if there’s a 10 man LFR in retail that’s changed multiple expansions into the future.
And the reason is obvious.
You have to rebalance the content for 10 uncoordinated players, not for 5 since the content is already scaled for uncoordinated players.

i can quote and make you look stupid too. 5 man groups go for dungeons, 10/25 go for raids, know the difference between them? ill tell you the most simple one. The loot, on dungeons is way worse than raids. want 1 more? raid complexion. dungeons are easy, so easy that are even soloable after some point. Raids involve strategy, group synergy, etc. so yeah, thats where i think RDF is great for dungeons, which are meant for more casual, or not so hardcore players. but raids should be the reward for those hardcore players, that aim higher in the game.

please tell me if im questing in Thousand Needles and im queued for SM, would you wait 15 to 20 mins for someone to get back to the instance? or would you think "im going to stop questing, to go to that dungeon for 45 mins - 1h (15 mins each way, plus dungeon, plus some vanilla dungeons are huge, which it takes time) to get the same exp that im getting while im questing… hmm no.
time is money my friend, both for blizzard and for us, that pay to play. i dont know about yours, but my time is valuable and very limited. you dont complain about changes to mount speed or dual talents (suits you, right?) but you complain about another small change that wouldnt affect your game at all.

Make it necessary to transfer in order to get to this new servers so you can solve the queue problem as well.
