title. It didnt work before, it does not work now.
How come? Im enjoying it very much.
Just because Blizzard is incompetent, when it comes to implementing anything, does not mean RDF is a bad feature.
The reason there are more posts about toxic people in dungeons and bad runs is that the amount of dungeons run is easily more than 10 times higher than it used to be prior RDF and especially people who got never invited and have bad gear and no practice are joining. That does not mean, that RDF makes players bad people, it means that before RDF the gatekeeping caused all these players to never have a chance to play the content.
Of course it is understandable, that expereinced players dont want to be matched with new players, but for those the option to queue as a premade group still exists.
The only thing I find regretful, is that the new LFG section is a big downgrade compared to before. But again, thats on Blizzard.
It’s too late now.
Works great.
Very well reasoned.
That said, they do need to fix the countless bugs they implemented it with, it is truly the peak corrupt a wish version of classic Blizzard devs.
Nah fam, it is perfectly fine and you will never find a better system in WoW to get new and old ppl alike to play the game as much as they do. Everyone enjoy it and there is no toxicity at all. Also there is a chocolate river hidden in one of the dungeons where small children play on beaches made out of marshmallows and other types of candy.
I am glad that they added RDF, finally. Stop crying that u got kicked cuz u got 4k gs on icc patch, lmao
I’ve had no issues whatsoever using RDF. The only toxic behaviour I’ve encountered (apart from people not saying hello or goodbye, which is more bad manners than toxic) is some guy wanted to kick another for having low gearscore, while only having slightly better himself.
But that’s about it. Not much better or worse than it was before. Some people just enjoy complaining all the time and can’t stand the thought of playing with someone with 10 GS less than them. I guess they’re the same people making ICC 10 full normal groups asking for 5.7k+ lol.
It goes down the same rabbit hole as before. I did tank Beta Azjol’Nerub, our group would wipe on last boss for an hour, because the hunters just refused to stack for cocoons and our group would die to same thing over and over.
Anyway, after they leave, we kill it on 1st try, but our dk (who is doing dps in blood spec btw) decides to need roll EVERYTHING, and ends up winning pieces of caster loot just to boost hes ilvl, I already noticed this when inspecting.
Or you get kicked right at the start of instance as a tank, because your healer is too low gear, afk or just playing badly.
These things happen, but with LFD you get bad experiences like this all the time.
I get why you wanted the feature, but it just does not work on slightly harder content. When Cataclysm drops, people will cry for nerfs again and the content will be ruined.
Its the same retail cycle all over again.
Please elaborate how it did not work and how it doesnt work cos So far it worked more than fine for me.
Works fine, just those that join and then not accept the queue should get 60min ban from lfd
I must be the luckiest guy in the world because none of these thing ever happen when I play.
only here for forum activity
Just like to add as well, just because the feature exists, doesnt mean you have to use it.
there are plenty of people still spamming /4 on my realm, LF 7.0k GS for a Gamma /w me achievement for invite.
Best addition since slice of bread.
Literally saved WotLK for me. Should’ve been in the game from the start or even as far back as TBC.
RDF works perfectly fine at max level, reasonably in 60-80 bracket, but the level ranges for dungeons are completely broken 15-60 range, hope Blizz fixes it soon. Who am I kidding…
Don’t worry, I’m sure it will fix itself automatically with Cataclysm, why would they add extra work minutes to it for no reason?
When they added LFD in WOTLK I thought it was 2nd best feature they had ever added to the game, after dual spec. Over the years it became clear it had flaws, especially with how it encouraged players to just sit in orgrimmar and queue dungeons all day to level a char and never leave the city, but generally it’s a good feature.
In retail it hasn’t had any relevance for years in anything other than baseline easy content such as LFR, normal/heroic dungeons and holiday events. It might have been a mistake to allow gamma dungeons to be queued this way, but by and large the vast majority of my groups have been completely fine.
The feature works great, a few anecdotal bad experiences don’t change that.
