We get a cool talent imo Grove Guardians. Lets you summon a treant (3 charges on a 20sec cd) that casts swiftmend as its first spell so use it on a target with already a hot on it then it casts nourish (the most usless spell in our tree) nonstop for 13ish seconds.
If you take the 2nd talent “Wild Synthesis” it also casts wild growth which is huge.
2% healing nerf is also included in the patch notes -.-
Then the Embrace of the Dream is now a 1 point talent and maybe maybe with the treants casting wild growth it is worth but i dont think it is. Could be a fun build.
Another one is the master shapeshifter. you do more damage in shapeshift forms and get a bit of mana back. If you have downtime from healing this could be nice but i think circle of life and death is more important because our hots can tick faster for more hps.
What do you think? I still dont like swarm because its another hot and multiplier we really dont need. Would be nice other hots would do more healing and then remove swarm.
Edit:
maybe it helps us to spot heal a target which i think is really hard on a rdruid atm in dragonflight.
Here are the patchnotes and the talent-calc from wowhead https://us.forums.blizzard.com/en/wow/t/dragonflight-fury-incarnate-ptr-development-notes/1631163/5 https://www.wowhead.com/ptr/talent-calc/druid/restoration
Its basically MoP all over again. I hope they change the way Moonkin Treants work a bit so they maybe Moon and Sunfire with their taunt and Feral gets it back too with a Rake and slow.
problem you have to give up other strong talents for it. but its 3 free swiftmend casts and 3 wild growth. maybe its worth. they justify this talent to nerf the healing overall and resti isnt a meta pick in m+ and raid. we will see
If this is a strong talent (= mandatory in competitive raiding), we just got another button added to the ever growing list of abilities. And not just another button, but also another cooldown added to the “always-on-cooldown / always-uptime” list. There are fewer and fewer globals left to actually make a meaningful decision what to cast, based on a reaction to the fight and not based on the theoretical best-HPS-rotation. This becomes a management-game instead of heal-your-friends-game. The amount of smart-(aoe)-abilities eliminates more and more the need and FUN for any targeted ability.
thats true. i want them to remove swarm and buff the other spells by 20% but atm our mastery means more hots more healing
this talents needs to compensate the 2% nerf on the ptr so it needs to be mandatory or the mini rework will be a nerf
atm i find it too hard to spot heal a target. on 15-20 most players dont use defensive and pots in a correct way so more st heal is nice for me.
ok its going to be mandadory to pick if they keep up the nerfs. from 2% to 6% now. without touching other talents.
here the ptr patch notes.
All healing reduced by 6%. Does not apply in PvP combat.
Developers’ note: This adjustment is intended to be a near net-neutral change in overall healing throughput to give room for the new Grove Guardians talent to represent a non-negligible amount of healing.
Resto was first nerfed by 2% and then 6%, so isn’t it an 8% nerf?
These talents are mandatory if they’ve nerfed ALL healing by a large percentage.
Grove Guardians/Wild Synthesis are unaffected by Improved Wild Growth, Unstoppable Growth, Soul of the Forest, Mastery: Harmony, Flourish, Incarnation: Tree of Life.
We’ve lost 2 points to take these talents so that most likely means no Photosynthesis or Circle of Life and Death.
Also, why is Master Shapeshifter on the same node as Circle of Life and Death?
People loving these changes just love that there’s trees, and i do too, but i want those trees to work with our class. Especially if they’ve nerfed the whole spec because of a CHOICE talent.
Druid needs to get those big cd’s over on class tree (like every other class).
Convoke and incarnation should be in class tree. So the spec trees can focus on the rotation (for whatever content and/or playstyle you want), and have big cd’s in class tree.
Bear/cat has like 6 berserk talents in spec tree just filling up space while class tree is lacking anything substancial and is full of nonsensical talents.
im glad my season is over maybe we have a balance patch until 10.2. i could do pvp solo shuffle but no thanks.
as always first it’s promising and then bam in your face change lol and everyone is like wtf
on live i heal for 160k over 15s which is nothing. 50% is wildgrowth and nourish heals for the other 50% but takes forever. 1 tick nourish is like 8k and its casted 9 times. Im not sure but not include our mastery in to this talent was a big mistake. palas have insta heals for more than this.
ok it looks like the heals from the treants are affected by our hots but not the other direction.
i copied that form us forum. So remember to keep full hots on the target and then press it
Grove Guardians Interactions:
Their hots are not affected by Flourish.
Their heals are affected by our mastery, but their hots do not contribute a mastery stack to ours.
Their nourish is a standard nourish and thus affected by triple mastery.
Their nourish casts will go on random injured players, but there is no priority/smart healing to target lowest health allies.
Their heals are not affected by any other talents (Example: Soul of the Forest).
Their Swiftmend triggered on activation will go on your current target (or mouseover) and does not require an active hot to be present.
how do you heal fights where you cycle through your cds? i switched between flourish and tranq and now you drop tranq. so spamming the trees instead? well i guess so we dont have other cds to press
yes looks like you need to spam hots and then use the tree on someone. nothing that changes your playstyle or insta top one. but its a decent healing over the time of a dungeon
