You might have noticed that some crate farm raids have started to request gold payments for invites. This is happening because the addon used to organize these raids is not free anymore. To get the latest version of Rdy’s Crate Tracker you now need to pay with real world cash for Discord access.
As if PVP gearing wasn’t bad enough already. Blizzard, how about you do something about this?
I never had any issue joining a raid farming group. No one ever asked me golds for invite.
Anyone reading this. If this a real thing. Do not ever pay anyone. There are regular raid groups “free of charge” going on daily. Just sign up and wait for free spot.
Get your facts right before you start spreading misinformation about the addon, OP.
This is completely false. The addon is still available on Curseforge and was last updated 2 days ago. Only the predicted drop location feature is no longer publicly available as it is now marked as an “in development” feature for early access users if they subscribe for a fee.
The Discord server is public, only the early-access channel requires subscription, and this is where early access users can download the early release version of the addon with the predicted crate drop location feature, but the public version continues to be updated and available on Curseforge.
Exactly, it’s a paid addon now which is against the terms of service for WoW. They are keeping half broken versions free to avoid getting the paid one banned.
How is it “half-broken”? The developer chose to mark the feature (which isn’t even critical for crate farming) as “in development”, which means it will eventually be made public again.
I downloaded and had it running without paying a cent.
The addon is free.
Just go curseforge and type Rdy on wow search.
The first addon you see is the one you need.
And now Rdy’s Crate Tracker is gone from curseforge completely. Nobody could have seen this coming. But you all had to defend this behavior, WoW players are their own worst enemy.
I get their mentality (I do not condone it still), people stick to crate farming for alts or for their lowbie chars, given the amount of premades and gear difference in casual lobbies. Losing a normal game is one thing, losing a match up due to gear difference is another. (speaking for casual purely).
In fact in the last few weeks there was one topic that was suggesting people to do crate farming and not touch casual bgs for gearing and another topic saying how crate farming is really bad due to 39 people groups. Fun.
If you bothered to read what was said on his Discord, the addon was mass reported on Curseforge because people like yourself are butthurt over the temporary removal of the crate drop location prediction feature. Rdy did not remove it from Curseforge himself. He is resolving it to get it on Curseforge again. Why do you keep lying? Are you intentionally being obtuse, or you’re trolling? Or both?
Crying about the same thing over and over again doesn’t make it the truth, it only makes you look insane. This addon is free, and ingrates like yourself should learn to appreciate it.
LOL
I just sit in Isle of Dorn and wait for the announcement then rotate to Ringing Deeps, Hallowfal and Spiderland, got my conquest cap in couple of hours. All solo. Had to pass like 1-2 crates cuz a bunch of hordes got there first.
Who needs addons and a raid for this
The addon is available on Curseforge. Rdy re-released it as Hated Crate Tracker on Curseforge, this time with the predicted crate feature again. It’s not a paid addon, theres’ no paid feature or anything, so what’s your point?
