I just wanted to pop it out here and make mention of it because it’s probably one of the biggest things I think is lacking amongst healing classes.
Where are my mana regeneration stats?
What happened to useful stats like spirit and MP5?
I have 400 mana regen per 5 seconds, is that it? Is that what I am stuck with forever? Is my entire healing experience going to be based on a sole 400mp5 no matter the encounter or what gear I am wearing?
I genuinely think it would be beneficial for the game to bring back some mana regeneration stats - it just gives the game more depth and makes things more fruitful and fun.
I think problem was that at start of xpac you had both weak healing and weak mana regen and it scaled so high then mana wasn’t an issue and you spammed super strong heals without worrying about mana.
Oh yeh, manaregen the most “fun” mechanic ever. Going OOM, sitting down to drink and then getting attacked by an enemy…
Especially rogues and feral druids loved that mechanics, casters, not so much.
And to add to that: in Mythic+,having to wait on manaregen every time will make casters just give up and reroll none-manabased classes. So if Blizzard would reintroduce manaregen, the game would have to change in a very profound way; and then mostly backwards.
They have taken away mana from most melee classes and have given them different resources, even hunters too. I think they should just give pala a different resource. Unless I am forgetting other melee classes that still use mana. I kinda didn’t like that mana didn’t matter anymore when I returned to wow. I think as a healer and caster it added and extra layer of depth to be mindful of it going down and to carefully think about it. But honestly right now as the game stands it demands the ability to spam your heals as much as possible. Mechanics in the game aren’t as simple as they were back then.
Maybe it would be cool to remove mana from the game and add unique resources to all classes and specs. Give each one a gimmick to be mindful of but not too punishing.
