Reached level 70 - how to get to the endgame stuff?

So I reached level 70 finally, but never played the endgame stuff, I barely know what it is. Could someone tell me how to get to that stuff? Is there a way to just queue for that like dungeons?

Dungeons and raids is the endgame stuff. It’s difficulty only depends on your capabilities and ambitions. You can go high and join guild for Mythic raiding and high key M+ dungeons.

Or you can go low and pug low keys M+ and LFR.

There definetly is ways to q for dungeons but those at max level normal or heroic level dungeons are not ideal gearing in the current patch

Head over to forbidden reach after hitting 70, acquire an full 395 set from rares and get the 424 onyx anullet from the zkara vault

After acquiring the catchup gear available on the forbidden reach i’d suggest spending time on finding an guild or group on your server to do content with. Doesnt matter if its normal or mythic just finding an group that will take you on is already plenty to get started with

Keep in mind all gear becomes obsolete in an less than an month when 10.1 aberrus releases so will gear ilvl increase

Congratulations on 70!

I took a look at your armoury. It can be slow to update, so could be out of date, but I see you as level 70, so I’m going to rely on the information in it for what follows.

Endgame is about getting better and better gear to do harder and harder content.

You have bought 340 level gear at the AH. Good start! You want to aim for something around 380 now, which is pretty easy, as a base level before you start your climb through harder endgame content to something in the 410 range (or even higher, if you can!)

You have hit level 70, but you have not completed the questline to open World Quests and the campaigns. While those aren’t technically necessary, as a new 70 without a regular group to do M+ with, a few of those WQ and events will help with that. So that’s an objective for the early days.

Another objective, ofc, is to get gear in the 380-390 range. The quickest wy to do that solo is,. as Kowaikokoro says, to get Primalist pieces, and a few others.

Solo gearing, before you start group play, is through World Quests, Events, and Rare-Elites on the Forbidden Reach.

You can also do Normal and Heroic Dungeons through the Random Dungeon Finder. At this stage, they will give you upgrades, and more important in the long term, they will get you familiar with the dungeons you will be doing on the higher Mythic+ difficulty later.

Your main quick source of early gear: The Forbidden Reach. You are CERTAIN to be able to upgrade all of your pieces to 359 very quickly this way.

  1. Take the quest Storm Surge from Rethelshi at 38.39, 36.85 in Valdrakken.
  2. Now take the quest to go to the Forbidden Reach, do the sequence of quests you get. You will acquire a pile of Elemental Overflow currency.
  3. Take that back to Mythressa, beside Rethelshi, and buy pieces of 359 gear as upgrades.
  4. Now back to the Reach and join in with the groups killing Rares. Rares will sometimes drop Primalist Leather pieces. Those turn into 385 gear for you. Drop rate is decent, but they also drop other armour types you can’t use. You can squirrel those away for future alts, if you like.
  5. You will also get Zskera Keys. Those are for a gems for a fancy ring you get in the Vaults. Collect them; you can use them now or later, when you have your gear up a bit.

Once you have your gear at 359, you can fkeep farming for more 385 pieces. There are also some other things you can - probably should - do for other gear.

World Quests and Events give you gear based on your current gear level. At 340, World quests will offer gear in the 330-350 range. When you get to 360, they will offer 350-370.

Events rewards also scale with your item level, but they tend to be always higher. The events you want to do once a week (and this is the last day of this week, so get them done today!) are

Go to the World Quest “The Storm’s Fury” when it’s up in Thaldraszus. Gather with the other players in 4 events to repen invaders and close 4 portals. Then go with the group to kill the Big Bad guy. This gives you Lightning currency that, with your Elemental Overflow, lets you buy ilevel 389 Rings and Trinkets from the vendor at the Future Conflux platform.

Tuskarr Community Feast in Iskaara. Happens every 90 minutes. Take the quest to do 5 tasks, stand around the pot, click the “Yes, Chef” button that appears when you are given a task, and then do what you are ordered. Collect your reward when done. It’s confusing the first time, but you’ll get the hang of it. Just get your 5 things done and your quest reward. Don’t worry about finishing it all.

Go to where the World Quest “Allegiance to One” brings you, at the Obsidian Citradel. Swear loyalty to one of them for the week - doesn’t matter which - do the quests, collect 3 Key Framings and 30 Fragments, make a Key to give to your chosen one.

As I write allthat, I so want to start writing about the addons you will eant to help you find and do these, but this is getting kinda long. Ask more specific questions if you want to know more about soemthing.

On a new character i just buy enough M+ to get around 2400 score and 400+ ilvl (like 2 Million gold) and then work my way from there.

Quick and easy.

Tho i am pretty much only doing burial as M+.

But i do manage +18’s and +19’s without boosters for the past 2 weeks, without having to wait long for group invites

x?D
This is bait surely

Gz for 70, and welcome.

Don’t do it. Not yet. You should learn first.

No. It’s WoW 2023. At least for a significant minority of players. I can even sorta relate. Levelling has been devastated. Gearing has been slashed. Story and character are forgotten. The social element is a memory; there are a few islands here and there, but the mainland has been inundated.

So what’s left, for the people who live in instances around the +20/Curve/2400 mark, is to skip the world altogether and just bolt for the poclet dimensions.

:musical_note: … and they’re buy-y-ing a Stairway to Heaven :musical_note:

Thanks for taking your time for this thorough guide. It will surely be helpful.
