Greetings, I’m a World of Warcraft Classic player, lately i’ve installed some addons and had edited some things in my interface to fit my gameplay but whenever i relog they all disappear and some of my addons are not working properly so i tried to turn of the Read Only setting but whenever i uncheck it it turns on again by itself; I’ve tried running CMD on administrator and using the attrib -r, editing the security and spamming the simple way with restarting my computer but still not working
Is it not attrib -R?
Either way, this normally happens when you install WoW in a directory which you’re not the owner of. So the system keeps resetting the default file permissions.
And how can i fix that in this case ?
You can try moving the installation to another directory, one under your control. Yes you can MOVE it, you don’t need to reinstall, usually.
Or you can change the ownership of the directory structure, see google for that because I can’t remember how its done under windows. Keep in mind that there are certain directory structures which you MUST NOT change ownership of, as that can actually break windows. Those are usually the system directories.
