So, the minimum requirements mention a 6-core, 4GHz boosted Intel Core CPU or alternatively AMD Ryzen Zen 2.
I have a AMD Ryzen 7 5700G CPU with 3.8 boost/overclock.
Will that suffice?

It’s not a good CPU for WoW but it will run ofc.
I doubt it will even run worse than now.
New zones will at worst be filled by more shadow and fog effects and have better sights that are entirely dependent on the view distance setting, but if you tone these down you can already cut the hardware requirements in half. We will see how far they will go in a week.
From a ground level the new Silvermoon city could be more FPS friendly than Dornogal because of the difference in architecture, but it might also might end up being twice as intensive in comparison to Undermine.
Will be fine just like my old 8700k.
Intel’s boost is a bit different from AMD’s boost, so don’t worry so much about that.
Your CPU uses a zen 3 chip, which is newer than zen 2, so you’re fine for the minimum specs.
While this is true, the G variant he has (with the Vega iGPU) only has half the L3 cache (16 instead of 32MB).
This already makes the CPU alot slower in comparison to the 5700X and we all know how much WoW loves L3 cache
the difference between zen 2 and zen 3 was pretty huge though, so the smaller l3 cache may or may not cause a difference in how WoW performs. I’d imagine for the minimum specs it doesn’t matter though, as it’s not meant for cranking up options in the game engine.
It’s funny that Midnight requirements has a recommended CPU with 8 “performance cores” when the game is heavily leaning on 1 core. They literally recommend a 9800X3D because the game runs so terribly.
Just look it up. It has 8 cores and a max boost of 5.2 GHz.
They should have just recommended a X3D CPU instead of that Ghz bull…
