Real time or /played time duration on valentine's items?

In classic I farmed a ton of chocolates and I had a bunch of boxes on a bank alt as the duration didn’t expire if the char wasn’t played, but I have a memory of them changing that at some point so it was just 10 days real time regardless of if you played the char or not.
None of my guildies seem to remember this however so I’m starting to wonder if I’m misremembering it?

Anyone else remember? Do the valentines items have real time or /played time duration? And yes, i know that ORIGINALLY it was /played, I’m wondering if they changed it or not, and if so, are those changes still there or reverted?

Think it got changed with last hallows end. Cause people were hording the buffs. So now all these things are on real time instead.

spent half an hour trying to find it in some patch notes before checking the items on wowhead which say (real time) :stuck_out_tongue: lol
