Definitely, and that’s why I find it funny that people get on their high horse for such things. Nothing new under the sun, what matters are the $ income, now even more with the big entity over their head.
It’s last Quarter, need to pump the numbers to finish the income objective of the year. It’s the same in every company, pretty sure they passed a general message as well that all hiring that are not in progress are frozen, and will be clarified after January next year.

The way blizzard handled this was pretty smart, They made sure to keep the old ah mount rare like zulian tiger.
But also craved the need for a LIDL priced version of the ah mount. And they also made bank.
As for my opinion personally? I use the old ah mount because I know it’s rare now and no way blizzard gonna return it to the vendor now that we have a replacement.
And use the new mount when I want to AH pvp. Win win
So far the only items I feel is “safe” is my old Classic Class Rewards, like Robes of Servitude <3

Funny thing, the ‘LIDL’ price mount is better than the old in every way - cheaper, better looking, better functionality, cry moar.
I mean I have both of them the second one was rly cheap It was like 1.5 mil gold.
As for looks the old one is 10x better looking and it has a feat of strength achiv attached to it and is alot more rare.
The second one is just an on demand mailbox and that’s why I bought it in the first place.
If you consider buying a 5M mount a feat of strength, i guess.

I was curious and checked on Dataforazeroth.
The original is owned by 4% of the playerbase, while the new one is owned by 1%. Will likely increase tho, it was 0.8% last week.
