Basically whenever i try to move with my character it suddenly (Between 20-40 seconds, from my samples) my character movement slows down significantly.
Almost feels like world lag, but other friends of mine told they weren't having such a problem, but they were in an instance so that might be a whole different story.
This has been going on for the past 2-3 hours on my character, i have done the following, reseting my router, restarting my pc and reseting cache and trying to boot the game without addons and such.
Anyone else having this problem ? Help is much appreciated.

No problems here on my end.
It might be helpful if you know of anything that happened before this problem occured, for example, do you know of any background updates going on or anything unusual that may have happened before this problem occured?
EDIT: the only problem I had at the start of the year that remotely sounds like this, was each time my character moved I had input-lag but I resolved that through a display adaptor update.
Because of that i first thought it was my spotify causing the problem and reseted my pc with no apps at start up, and booted up wow via the client itself and still got the "lag" problem.
Here's a clip of the problem in practice https://streamable.com/4oydb might not be the best of quality but there you can see the animation/movement lag i'm having.
To think of the positives at least it makes up for some funny clips.
Edit: Should add its more of like rubberbanding instead of lag since my MS isn't changing while that is happening
Let's start by checking if this is the cause of any addon issues. As such, please clear your UI (addons) completely, and test again. If you use anya ddon managers, make sure to disable those for now as well.

My character slows down when I use W A S D keys to move. Issue does not occur when I use both right and left mouse buttons at the same time to move.
If I keep pressing the buttons, game disconnects from the server. Issue does not happen with other games but only with World of Warcraft. My FPS is 100 when the issue
occurs and there is no lag.
My setup is;
MSI GTX 1050 TI GAMING X 4G GTX1050Ti
MSI B350M GAMING PRO AMD B350, DDR4, AM4 Ryzen
KINGSTON SA400S37/120G A400 SSD
AMD Ryzen 3 2200G Quad-Core 3.5GHz-3.7GHz, 6MB, 65W, 4/4CPU+8GPU, AM4
VIEWSONIC XG2402 24 LCD, 1920x1080, 1ms 144Hz
Troubleshooting steps I followed;
-Updated Windows 10 to the latest
-Updated all video card drivers
-Changed graphics to recommended in WOW
-Unplugged and plugged keyboard
-Reinstalled keyboard
-Restarted modem and made a speed test, all normal
-Turned shadowplay off via Nvidia Settings
-Used dxdiag to diagnose, no issues found
-Turned Freesync off via monitor
-Tried different Hertz options
-Cleared UI as described in the forums
-Uninstalled WOW and installed again
-None of the above solved the problem.
I checked internet and battle net forums but could not come up with a working solution.
I also opened a topic in the forum but somehow it has been deleted without my permission.
I need further assistance to catch up my guid for the raid tomorrow.
Thank you.

Did you find a solution for this problem. A 3 year old was on my wow pc after a 1 min afk. Since then it happens to me. Pls help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! tnx
30/10/2018 18:43Posted by KropslaagFound the solution. Fn + Q was the problem.
could you explain further? I have the exact same problem (it was fine yesterday).
No ms home or world lag when the movement lags, and If i keep running I'll get disconnected. Fn+Q does nothing for me, so what have you keybinded fn+q to be?
edit: the problem was that the key repeat rate was set to something higher than 1x. My keyboard allows to increase the refresh rate and i somehow enabled something higher than 1x by accident yesterday

Wow, I just had the same problem. Since last night my character was walking all weird and slow but I was too tired to do anything about it and when I logged back in now and it was still happening I just googled “WoW movement lag” and literally in the first link I found this comment from 2 years ago. Bless you dude!
I had the exactly same issue.
I searched for weeks unable to find a solution.
Imagine paying almost 2000 Euro for a gaming pc and having this issue, I was in despair to be honest.
Having done every possible troubleshooting step and about to give up, my free antivirus subscription expired, which came with my Asus Motherboard upon purchase, so I uninstalled it, problem was gone after that.
Turns out my Bullguard antivirus was the culprit. Been weeks and haven’t had lag since.
