Where is the EU PVP forced facction server ?
I don’t even play classic but from what I can see two current megaservers Firemaw and Gehennas have a same destination which will be considered a future regional hub for English speakers.
Speaking of fairness, while such a move is considered unpopular, it is most fair that everyone has to pick up a new name. Many names will end up being taken even on the smallest realm intended to receive everyone, but that’s just the reality everyone has to accept so no one is required to spend additional money in order to transfer off a dead server.
wtf, no pvp-server? fix it!
Crazy not to just create a new realm…
Gief PVP-server!
So, from all servers you decided that we should transfer to, you picked the only server I dont have char with my name on, cause some person took my name even in classic and never played after…The only logical thing would be to make the new server if you already wanted that…
For us, we have had the guild name since 2005 … we even have a wowwiki page, farmed the enter world in classic remake to get the name that we built up since then.
Im safe to say that we are the original and everything else is a copy.
A bluepost will make us just give away all that to some randoms. Thats great!
My guild was formed out of game when Classic Vanilla was announced.
It has been around since 2019 launch with mostly the same folks who are now extended family and friends, and went through all the Classic Progression Realms Vanilla > BC > Wrath > Cata > Mists on Pyrewood Village.
WHAT EXACTLY is going to happen to it come megaserver?
This seems fairly arogant to be honest. But I wish you luck with your copyright claim on a guild name I guess.
There’s absolutely zero chance no one else could’ve thought of the guild name in the timespawn of 20 years without having encountered your guild, thus making it a 100% original idea at the time of creation?
wdym since 2005? how is that relevant in this context? classic launched in 2019 lmao
I didn’t read everything, but if there’s no small RP realm (Hydraxian Waterlords), go to hell and pay me back every single penny I’ve spent.
Really wish you’d reconsider adding a faction balanced PvP server. I don’t think “the servers are all essentially PvE anyway now” is a strong argument given that forced faction balanced servers weren’t an option when people made that choice.
Do I want to play a PvP server if it’s massively unbalanced against me? Not really. Do I want to play a PvP server if it’s completely faction balanced as they are in SoD and Anni? Damn right I do.
Seems incredibly unfair that US get this option and EU doesn’t, especially when good wpvp content is on the horizon for MoP.
PvE players will disagree cause they hate pvp players, but well said
I think it’s safe to say at this point no one likes this decision.
This needs intervention.
For 4 years since Classic TBC launch I’ve played my Shaman as my main. I have too much invested in it to have to change my identity now and the name is already gone on the destination server.
Could have at least done a new server and left it closed until patch so everyone has the same chance to get there name.
Not sure I’ll continue to play if this goes through.
what about gold? I see there is a 50k g limit for level 85 characters but nothing more? Are we going to lose our gold ?
To summarize. Someone at Blizzard just decided to go fully nuclear after ignoring realm situation for years? And now we are just sitting here, waiting for bombs to drop because some big wig had no idea that the game was already unplayable on MoP launch because there were too many people across 10 layers on Pandaria.
Nice, very cool
There is no gold limit with free transfers. Only with payed.
But yeah, lack of guild transfer is just a knife in the back.
Please consider opening a new server and have everyone move to that. It’s more fair if everyone is in the same boat. That means all names will be free to grab and first comes first served.
Then the server can also get its own new name instead of renaming MR
100% accurate, whiners that will play all the same.
