Realm population

I noticed that on the realm im on (Dragonblight and conected realm Ghostlands) the population is really low.
Back in WoTLK expansion i used to have over 500 guild members. It was not that hard to recruit new members because there where more players on my realm.
Nowdays it seems there are to many realms that is to low populated.
Can you please merge more realms so the realms that remain are at least medium populated?

Or otherwise make it possible for not connected realms to join guilds?
In major cities like stormwind i can see chat from not connected realms like the outland realm.
Although i cant invite them in my guild we can chat with them.

Will there be a solution for this problem soon?
Thanks for your time,
Gweanar.

This problem is one of the most important right now.

You can see it both ways.

Very populated Realms such as Silvermoon for Alliance and Draenor for Horde feels pretty weird. Myself playing in Draenor i never see any alliance if i am outside solo. Its pretty sad.

On the other hand low populated realms feels bad because you have not many option to play with or create a guild.

The solution is pretty simple. Delete low populated realms and merge medium ones.

Offer players free realm transfer.

The best solution to this in my opinion is to delete cross-realm function and go back to roots like in Vanilla. You join a realm where its almost 50-50 and thats it.

I agree, i think blizzard should go back to the Vanilla realm system.
That worked fine back in the days.
