Hello there!
I’ve been wondering, with these new realm connections you guys are doing, plus all the old ones that were made in the past, have you guys ever considered modifying the realm selection screen so that players, both new and old, can easily tell which realms are connected to which, without using 3rd party sites like “wowprogress”?
There is a lot of realms and a lot of connections between them, I really think that it should be made clear, via the realm select screen, which realms are in a cluster with which, so you could more easily pick a realm to play on.
I would really leave the visual part to the devs, but off the top of my head, something like color coding realm clusters, or numbering them, maybe using something like “Cluster A, Cluster B, etc”, a drop down menu for each cluster, or something like that.
I would really leave it to the devs to decide. But those are some basic ideas off the top of my head. Haha. ^^
I say someone mention the old battlegroups as a way to group the clusters. So it would say “Cool battlegroup name 1” and then list the connected realms below. Having wow-appropriate names for each group would probably be nicer than just numbers or colours, imo
That would work too. Or just having a “mother server” with a drop down menu with all the connected realms. I would be happy with anything at this point. Haha ^^
I would rather them all in the list next to each other with no extra clicking needed, maybe with the realms you have characters on as the “battlegroups name” and the rest you don’t have characters on as a drop down.
I would also like free moves to put all the characters on one realm if you want since you can have all 50 on one realm now if you want since the realms are connected. This may affect the names you have.
Yes, in the past I’ve seen a couple of threads with this theme, but they always die and lock up without any “we are considering it” or “we won’t do it” reply from Blues.
And yes, makes sense to have that info on display, agree. ^^
I’ve always hoped those threads would gain some traction since they do advise to post suggestions on forums, but yes, you are right, trying the in-game “Submit Feedback” could perhaps be a better, more noticeable way, of getting this suggestion across. Thanks. ^^
