Making fun of RPers or interrupting events should never happen but its up to player if he wants to RP or not~ I have never seen ANY hardcore RPer when playing on Alliance alt~ everyone was mounting their dragons out of thin air while leaving (portal area) mage tower and stuff like that.
I had no idea what to expect when i first joined the realm.
Played here like 10years now, there is so many different types of RP.
Some is just pure joking around but people are somewhat acting and having fun so I can appreciate it. I have dabbled in each aspect of it but most of the time I am OOC and playing the game.
Sometimes it’s nice to not be involved at all and just watch RPers and learn.
Also even if you elect to go fully in character there are plenty who will outright blank players for whatever reason, I think I see the idea they are proposing but in reality I don’t think it will work on a realm dedicated to thousands of players, that is why there are guilds and communities, so you can create these places and experiences for yourself.
Most HC-RPer are at various spots and either in guilds or communities so that time-management is easier to handle. Local places, like SW bank/ah are more or less non-RP spots. It really depends where you’re looking for and if you scan the people with Total RP or not.
The linked topic contains the collected grudge from the RPers and I cannot blame them. After starting a new HMT during the 15th anni, my character got stalked and killed at least five times in the upper levels of the caverns of time (and anyone who KNOWS how sh* it is to die up there, spawning five !! minutes away from your corpse) from high level players. After some time I simply had enough and took my time to write them personally.
One person just wanted to grief on low levels because of Horde-bias and after I told him that this is a RP-character I try to push during the event for some levels to unlocks mogs, he realized that his character-transferred LV120-character is on a RP-realm. Well, duh. He told me that he simply switched to AD because he wanted to join a big Alliance-server for the WM-bonus.
And with that said, we went full circle now. We have players there who simply don’t care or are aware of what kind of server AD is - and this is a serious problem which lead to “some” topics in /AD. Given the massive backlash in the linked topic alone (1,5k posts en massive spam/hate/whatever within only two days until it got closed), you can be sure that there is a certain “dislike” for normal players, like the one who grieved me. He should have transferred to EU-Silvermoon, not to AD.
tl;tr: Don’t advice coming to AD if you don’t care for RP. As long as people don’t find out about you and you not using a RP-tool, like Total RP3, you’re fine to remain in an oblivious bubble.

Don’t come to AD for Alliance PvE, go to Ravencrest or Silvermoon.
And please stop suggesting RP servers to the OOC PvE/PvPers.
We have 1 realm left okay? You have plenty of others, go there.

Antonidas is another realm fit for alliance, and look, all three of those realms have double the score AD does, you will be better suited to going there.

I am fairly thankful that it’s not on Argent Dawn tbh.
I don’t know a single (1x) good RPer who mounts on dragons OOC. Usually people tend to just not bother and use the same mounts which they use IC (which are, obviously, NOT dragons).
I am not going to lie and say it blatantly: I despise the fact that warmode on RP realms is literally impossible to do any RP in because it’s filled with only griefers and OOCers. Defias Brotherhood is an example of that.

Well, the OOCers have killed Zandalar Tribe alliance side already.
We are fighting to not let that happen to AD, so please for the love of god, stop sending OOCers our way.

Have to say I’m extremely disappointed in an MVP misdirecting a player like this. Player should come to an RP realm if they want to RP. If that’s what the player wants to do then they’ll be welcomed with open arms. If their motivation for coming to an RP realm isn’t RP-related, and is in fact related to an anomaly from a frankly busted system that the developers refuse to address, then they shouldn’t come to an RP server.
Times like this I miss the downvote button…

Never have I come across a green post (so called “MVP” posts") that was good but this one has to be the worst of them all
You are telling someone to roll on a RP server that has mentioned zero interest in RP maybe think about what you post next time 
Be real for a moment it doesn’t matter at all in this day and age on what server you play on if you do it for non role play related reasons, people hop across the realms with the LFG tool how they please – there is no sense of community left
Now there is on exception to this : RP realms, they still have a server community and by telling people to go there just because they have an easy time rolling in WM you are contributing to that community’s destruction

No. Do not do this. Many RP realms have been ruined already, with people making it impossible to RP there.
Stop recommending RP realms for anything other than role play.

I am distraught by people whos task, nay, passion should be to foster and care for the community to recommend OOCers coming to an RP realm.

@AD: Please don’t flag other people’s postings, everyone is allowed to express themselves. Just make it clear that certain people don’t repeat their mistakes.
I have tagged you for a special reason. You MVPs have a direct communication to the GMs, right? The people who maintain the EU-ArgentDawn policies need to enforce the official RP-rules which are listed here:
If possible, make them aware of these. Unfortunately I cannot find the ruleset when people start to disrupt the RPs but there was one in the past. I would appreciate it if someone could post them here as well.

Very grateful to you for using your MVP green text status to add an air of legitimacy and authority to the damaging idea that RP realms are just an oddity realm categorisation, in which anyone without an ounce of interest in the community or realm purpose can freely join to further compromise the entire meaning of the realm.
Perhaps RPers have become a little too comfortable with their six options (now affectively one) in comparison to the 44 other realm choices, and asking that our sense of community and approach to the game of World of Warcraft be protected by respect for the realm tag and purpose was just too much to ask.

This is exactly what the situation is.
The only way RP experience can be entirely pure is to have a new realm that requires application to join and create character on and some actual rule enforcement if there are people who disrupt, which has always been very lackluster to be honest.
This kind of gatekeeping players discuss is not possible on Argent dawn, it’s already too embeded with players of all prefrence and there is nothing to stop it from happening.
Nah, just ban the pure oocers or make them feel very unwelcome until they finally leave. Only gets hard when even MVPs on the forums are actively trying to undermine roleplaying communities.

Perhaps, but we can certainly dissuade others joining and adding to the problem.
Especially because; there are 3 other realms that are better for pve for alliance, with the “worst” one being double the score of AD.

Basically your argument is that if there can’t be a RP realm with exactly 0,00% OOCers it’s pointless to make an argumentative stand against OOCers moving to AD which is a bit 
When I’m out there doing WQ I mostly see people that I know from RP, keep it that way – don’t care if some lost soul OOCer is around
(It’s worth to work towards something even if you can’t achieve it entirely man)
