Precisely. It’s a bad situation, isn’t it? Which is why seeing an MVP effectively encourage this has caused some very genuine frustration.
We’re not talking someone who RPs maybe a little bit.
We’re talking seeing a realm rec. thread from someone who has not expressed any interest whatsoever in an RP realm or in RPing on any level and telling them, “oh, well, just use an RP realm… they’re just these funny little PvE realms with a few thespians in it.”
This kind of behaviour is exactly what spurs some people on, in my mind I only see the solution above or if you hit ignore it phases that person out entirely.
Anything else is just going to be a repeat of the same scenario we have now simply because it is too easy for players to do so.
jesus christ i will never understand you small brains pushing for something you will never be truly part of. If you dont intend on roleplaying on AD then just stay out, really. You add nothing, so we don’t want you. There are much better realms to suit your needs. And if some of you renards are going to say that you want to get here to feel the atmosphere, i will bring out an example previously thought by some smart guy on our forums:

By recommending RP realm to someone who has no interest in the main purpose of the realm you’re aggravating the situation.
People want to do PvP RP events without getting gank by non RP players.

Nah you just lose all credibility when you jump to insults over a difference in opinion, it’s just not worth pursuing a conversation with this behaviour. You can be passionate without trying to ridicule people.
It’s a good thing we are not all as lazy/defeatist as you are.
If we make a few people rethink their choice to go to an rp realm with zero desire to RP, that’s a good thing.
Everyone is up in arms here because an MVP specifically directed people who don’t rp to an rp realm cause it makes their lives easier, without a care to the destruction it causes.

All you’ve done is say “not worth it, can’t achieve what you want with AD, too late” when I’m pretty sure every single post in response to you has been people advocating to try and better the realm. Is it possible that … maybe … you’re the one with the wrong mindset … ?
No, surely not
I think that’s absolutely fine but I would also appreciate it if some of the old grudges don’t swap over to this topic. Unlike others here, some of us ADers have a past and somewhat like a legacy. Heck, we have even our very own local community homepage where new events are posted.
If I think about it, we’re are really a prestige server at this point - but I really don’t want to see the bickering here in the General Discussions from everyone, if possible.

OOCers flooding on RP-servers (encouraged by MVPs) and ruining the community is just an opinion, it didn’t happen on every other RP server!

The problem is several level-layered (if this is even a word, I’m too tired today tbh) but bad game-design and faction-imbalance are likely the reasons why we got so many refugees the past months.
Hey for all those people dropping in to this hot topic to say “Just ADers being ADers” I wanna flag up that we’re effectively the last RP realm that’s working as intended and an MVP is encouraging someone who ostensibly has no interest in RP whatsoever to come join the server which is pretty messed up.
