Hello I accidentally uninstalled wow. I reinstalled it but noticed my addon settings are gone. I used datarecovery to reover my World of Warcraft_retail_\WTF which includes files like vuho.lua (1410KB). Unfortunately I notice that after placing these files my vuhu profiles are not there. When I add new profiles the old file gets overwritten.
Any help on how to retrieve my settings?
Did you put the recoverd files back while the game was running? If so, that’s the problem.
If you didn’t, then it’s possible they’re corrupt or you’ve got them in the wrong location or something. Could try remaming the vuhdo.lua.bak to vuhdo.lua and see if that fixes things.
Either way, I’d make a copy of your recovered WTF folder before you start messing around.
