Recruit a Friend and then Another One

If I recruited a friend (WOW retail) and he played for two months, and I received the first two months of rewards (pet and one month of free play).

If my friend then stops playing after two months, but a month later I was able to recruit another friend, does it mean that after the first month playing with the new recruit I will not be getting any reward (since I have already received a pet for the first month) or does the previous recruit time of the friend that stopped playing, still counts toward the progress of receiving the rewards?

Hello, the more friends you got recruited the faster up the rewards come, i got two friends atm (my daughters acc and a new friend) and i get two for each month. Hope this helped
