I just wanted to make a post to see if anyone has ever used recruit a friend and how their experience of using the system was. A friend of mine made his first WoW account 5 days ago on a trial and we played together, he enjoyed it very much. I then tried to link our accounts together via the recruit a friend link in-game yesterday (4 days after creating the wow account) but it now says he is ineligible. He now has subscribed to the game and we cannot link the accounts together still, we both have made a ticket but our tickets have a 3 day wait time. I’m conscious that when using recruit a friend there is a 7 day grace period for linking accounts together after the trial account was created and so I will not be impressed if our tickets get answered after 3 days only to be told “Its been longer than 7 days, you cant utilise recruit a friend now”. I am just wondering if anyone has tried to use this system recently and if so if they experienced a similar problem?

I used the same accounts to RAF with myself for the prior Traveller set and the current one, with the “invite back” old players thing.
Had 6 accounts, each with a 1 month sub [just a sub, I didn’t buy any expansions], and got my stuff a month later.
Did you remember to create that new account via the RAF link?

No as we had done some levelling already and he didn’t want to lose his progress, there is supposed to be a 7 day grace period after wow account creation for using recruit a friend
