Recruit a friend pets/mounts

hmm dunno where to start with this post tbh
guess the main reason i play the game is i like collecting pets/mounts…and toys if i cba and ofcourse to have a laugh with guildies/players ive known since 2005

but then i see these new pets/mounts thats been added to game via RAF, and ofcourse the only way of obtaining them is by recruiting a friend but the problem is for me and for all im not OLD old im not a spring chicken either so the fact of the matter is i have no friends that have any interest whatsoever in playing wow so therefore im to miss out on them?

I think this kinda sucks tbh, feels like im slightly been discriminated by blizz in some way

Is there any way round this? like if i cancel my subs for a few months and stop playing then get a guildy to RAF me? does this insipid idea work that way does anyone know?

this last expansion has had some terrible ideas thrown at us tbh, RAF has been about for a while i know but it was for like a mount, not 2 mounts and 2 pets + cosmetics etc
considering ive played the game for 14 years kinda feels like im been punished because i have no RL mates that would touch this game lol

Well, if you have played this game for 14 years, i am sure you know how to inspect ppls achievements, if they have around 50 to 190 they are new (you can also check thier date on said achievement).

Nothing is stopping you from /w the new player if they are interested in some deals (while telling them about RaF / point them to blizz youtube clip about it).

I have gained all my old RaF rewards via new player i found ingame, i simple told them what RaF is about and how it only reward the veteran player, i then tell them what i do for them in exchange for the RaF reward i gain from them.

Mostly i just tell them (after the RaF link is made) to make a char on my server, i then move to the starter zone where they spawn, invite them, tell them to jump on my 2 player mount, we then move to the factions heirloom vendor (Ally = IF, Horde = UC).
At the heirloom NPC, i count how much gold they need in order to get a full set for the class they wanna lvl up, i then trade them that gold and tell them what to buy.

Once thats done, i tell them to wait and i log a toon that can ench thier weapon with element).

Once that done, i tell them they can log the server they wanted to lvl thier toon up on + telling them to send said weapon via mail. (toonname-servername).

Once thats done, we start lvl up together.

When they log off, i normal try to sell some pets on thier server (thank god you can just create a toon there then uncage whatever you have on you), its a cool little trick to transfor gold from server to server, so i can help them with bags, mounts ect.

Kindness goes a long way…they are kind enough to trust me and to give me some unique mount / pets, in exchange, i make sure they have the best start in wow as they can have ^^.

Edit: To answer your question about a guildie RaF you, i belive you need to have “not have any game time for 2 year” on your account, its also only your guildie that get said rewards (since he recruit you).

I love how the enchant from RAF looks better (it doesn’t even look THAT good - nowhere near close to old glorious tyranny/primal victory) than all elite PvP enchants actually toppest of keks

If you don’t know anyone to invite for RAF rewards you can do what many people did over the years to get those rewards: Invite yourself. There is no restriction that forbids you to send to yourself a RAF invitation and create a second account and pay for a year of that account, even you can have that second account in your battleNet account.

To earn all the new RAF rewards you will need to pay 12 months in a second account, and given that RAF will grant you 4 free months in your current account you only need to pay for 8 months. To make it cheaper pay both times in the second account with a 6 month subscription.

Thing with that method is: You will then have to wait an entire year before you’ve received all of the rewards.

The fastest way to get all the rewards is this:

Generate a recruiting link.
Recruit yourself 4 times with different accounts that are linked to your Battlenet account.
Buy 1 month of gametime for each of those 4 accounts (can be done with battlenet balance; thus ingame gold if you want).
Wait a month.
Buy 1 month again for those 4 accounts.
Generate a new link.
Recruit 4 more accounts.
Buy 1 month for those 4 new accounts.

Voila. All rewards in little over a month’s time.

I was going to buy it regardless.
Buying it and waiting a year or buying it and waiting a month. Easy choice imo.
