Really bad RNG for items and hardly having any gear by the time my charcter is leveled is the opposite of player happiness. that is all

So player happiness is getting a piece of recruit gear that will be replaced in 3 seconds once leveled?

it is mostly for the transmogs :c
i too would like an easier way to get them. they drop rarely

At the very least I hope there will be an alternative way to acquire them in the future. I got very lucky with my rogue and ended up getting the full set that I was after before hitting level 70 but the last piece I needed came at level 67 which was cutting it very close.

The shield dropped twice on my shaman between 10-70, the book dropped 3 times on mage and resto druid between 10-70. I don’t know if Blizzard has increased the drop rate of these items or not, but it is fairly easy to get them.
I agree though that it would still be nice to get them via the vendor, this way people would be able to play their mains if they don’t want to level alts just to delete them after.

Apart from the shield, book and cloaks, doesn’t the rest of the gear share their appearances with the Exile’s Reach gear?

Whats dumb about wanting a piece of transmog to be collecected a bit easier? The way these drops are youre lucky to get 5 pieces of loot before you hit max level. Thats the problem, and bootlickers like you dont really help

I didn’t realise the gear wasn’t on a vendor.
Was away on holiday and frankly I’m not that bothered about the gear.
I’ll be trying for the mounts and pets but doubt I’ll even get enough for those. I’m not that enthused by this event. I’m doing it once or twice a day just now, will probably not earn enough for the mount at this rate, meh…
They should just make an ensemble item that can be bought for 10,000 thingies.

You could get the mount, the 3 pets and the heirloom ring in one day if you want and never look back at pre-patch.

Haven’t looked at the prices (too afraid to, as I fear the mount will be 150,000 or something). I’ve earnt around 30,000 or something by doing it once or twice a day since I got back from holiday last week.
I was just going to go to the vendor this weekend and see what I can buy by then.
The mount is 20,000 Residual Memories, whilst the pets are 10,000 Residual Memories each.
That actually seems reasonable.
The Bliz guy who sets the prices for things must be off sick or something. Or his finger slipped and it should be 200,000 for the mount (don’t tell him!!).

Yes. Don’t waste your time obtaining the full set of Recruit Gear. If you have shield, book and cloacks you don’t need the other low level items

Drops are way too low… getting like 1 for every 10 objective done. Each objective should have a 50% chance for it…
But then again, the ilevel scaling of Recruit gear is beyond horrendous being multitudes lower than what they ought to be [e.g. Heirloom at ilvl 90, Recruit drops at ilvl 30].
Drops are definitely way too low for the Recruit gear. I created this character years ago but never really played her so when I logged in today she was still lvl 3. I leveled her purely through echoes and when I stopped this evening the only reason my ilvl wasn’t even below 200 was that i was wearing heirlooms but I don’t even have gear in all slots.
Tldr. Leveling a char for 60 lvls purely through the event doesn’t even give you a full set of armor. And yes I know I would have to get the lvl 70 gear at max lvl anyways but still.
