If we take the books and stories as canon.
In heartlands you can see the outline of Stromgarde('s towers) from Hammerfall.
This still makes Azeroth way smaller than I assumed.

not even gonna bother with the warlock roleplay today
saw the new short stories this worldbuilding is washed beyond belief
Another orc bites the dust.
I canât answer where but I can answer when: Not soon enough
Alas the eternal humanification of every race continues to be a blight on fantasy settings
Goldenâs sense of scale is diabolical. Say what you want about Knaak, but at least he made it an actual world and not a walk to the local shops and back.
To be fair, you can see pretty far on a clear day. And if we say that Hammerfall is located at a higher point than Stromgarde, itâs feasible that the latter can be seen from afar. Stromgardeâs a pretty big, too.
What is Golden who made a map of in-game Theramore and called it canon?
Corpseburner has returned.
Alleluja!
While I donât want to complain too much about a primarily Horde race getting the spotlight in 11.1âŠ
Gallywix is the third (ex-)racial leader of the Horde to be turned into an evil raid boss for us to smack around, while the Alliance is still sitting nice and cosy at zero, unless you count Archbishop Benedictus as a racial leader.
I just wish we got a proper Gnomeregan (city), instead humans get fourof their kingdoms backâŠ
Goblins are gonna get their homeland back (while mainting the gazzilion Bilgewater towns and villages spread across the globe).
I hope Undermine will be useful for RP atleast!
Claustrophobic underground âcitiesâ that were designed to be dungeons make for poor roleplaying. How many people have actually used the allied race Mechagon or Blackrock Depths instances for RP since the teleporters were made publicly available?
Iâm not sure if Undermine will fare any better, especially as thereâs likely going to be heaps of hostile NPCs outside of one or two friendly towns.
Just because we donât use them (much) doesnât mean they shouldnât be available.
Thunder Bluff, Echo Isles, Bilgewater Harbor, Lordaeron City arenât used much either, but I would be against them becoming dungeons and (or) permanently left in that state.
Probably not, sadly
Relocating to this thread:
As for the lightforged turning on the horde that assisted at Antorus, I think most people analysing the situation in BfA neglect to consider that the alliance is resisting a war of total annihilation by a horde off its leash under a leader (retroactively) bent on universal deletion. The âmereâ matter of azerite potentially ending the war of decades in the favour of Sylvanasâ regime and its exterminationist goals cannot be tolerated. The Horde, by attacking and destroying most night elves in the world at the onset prove that they intend to do the same to the draenei. Turalyonâs gold plated goats cannot let that slide.
See also tolerating void elf shenanigans.
Then we have the nightborne neutrality question where I must point out that Liadrin wasnât just a sympathetic face but actively lied about the night elves passively watching the world die while the blood elves stepped up to save it. Still makes their choice to enthusiastically participate in BfA weird, having just fought a civil war to rid themselves of a tyrant only to embrace the military dictatorship of the horde and the agenda to remove their blood-kin from the planet. Awkward.
I mean, having just replayed Kezan the other week, how Gallywix didnât get curbstomped on the Lost Isles is just⊠peak bizarre writing and Plot Armour anyway, soâŠ
Long overdue?
Yeah I always felt it was a weird decision for Thrall to put the obviously evil guy weâve just spent a fair amount of the last hour or so fighting in charge instead of any other goblin. Then again this was the same expansion where Thrall puts Garrosh in charge after spending the entire previous expansion getting an object lession in Garroshâs leadership failings so maybe Thrall is just a terrible judge of character.
I honest to god forgot that existed.
Might be flattening the story a but but nelves sitting out world threats they promised to deal with is canon.
Tyrande knew the plague of Lordaeron was devised by the Legion and said âeh not our problem â and let it burn.
Coulda stopped Arthas from going Lich King mode if theyâd stepped in soonerâŠ
Leaving out the whole subsequent hyjal bit is lying by omission at the very least.
Knowing that the Scourge is the Legionâs creation and being able to stop it before it breaks out is a bit too different. For the Lordaeron humans elven druids and such are the Old Ways, something to be resented and clearly associated with the Amani trolls. Not to mention the gang of the dreadlords in the field, able and willing to turn any Kaldorei they take alive into satyr. So⊠bad idea, through and through.
They didnât even try! Their entire Long Vigil thing was âwatch for the Legionâs influence and deal with it when it crops upâ but then it actually does crop up and they just said they gotta wash their llama that day so they canât come out to play.
