Redeeming gamecard not working, receving "Oops! Something went wrong."

Hello, so Im trying to redeem a EU (yes, Im 100% positive its eu card…) Ive done it hundreds of times, Im pasting the code on main page account and clicking “Redeem code” then it shows my account which is WoW1 (if the code is invalid I would not get to this point), clicking confirm and receving “Oops! Something went wrong.”

What is going on? Ive been using the cards for so long time never had a problem before, now my gametime is running out 6 hours left… I made a ticket but it shows the average wait time is 17 days !!! Is this a joke?

Any kind gm lurking on these forums could please take a look on my ticket and just manually add this code to my account? “Ticket Number: EU84811275”

While we cannot directly address tickets here, the error you’re getting is common when you’re trying to claim a code is not valid (or in the case of physical cards, not activated), or the region of the card does not match your account. If you purchased a code from a third party, you may need to double check that the region of the card is correct. For the physical cards, you can check the region on the card itself.

Failing that, keep your ticket open and our Support Team will be able to check it for you

My account is set to “Belarus” because i made a mistake when I created this account, should have been “Poland” which is easily checked by looking at logging location on your end… but my question is - I always purchased EU gamecards and it worked for that “Belarus” account and now it doesnt, did Belarus as a country got moved out of European continent or blizzard created some east version of gamecards??

If the country on your account is incorrect, then it is recommended that you update that first.

As your ticket is still open, you should be able to add a reply/update to request a country change as part of your issue. Both can be processed at the same time.

Ok I added a line to ticket with a request to change to correct location.

Anyway, EU card should still work for Belarus account, right? Just confirm for me please because if it should then Im opening a dispute on g2a right away.

Xorthonus mate, is it possible that you could take a look on that ticket and just resolve it please? The average waiting time for the ticket in game currently shows me 17 days… this is obviously absurd and I hope its just a ui bug in game and real time is way way shorter. If you could change that country I could just attach my paypal/visa w/e and be done with it and enjoy the game :slight_smile:

Hey an update, so I contacted g2a and they fully refunded me so you were right Xorthonus the code was wrong but its wierd that site doesnt respond with something like “its wrong” instead with “oops” which tells nothing to front user like me :slight_smile:

Im keeping the ticket open because that country change would help me out to avoid these problems in future, also is it an issue if the account has fantasy fake name? Its Shaman shaman :stuck_out_tongue:
