Redesigning Seed of Corruption to fix Vile Taint

So I had this idea that might solve the Vile Taint - Agony annoyance, and I hope you would like to hear my idea and provide feedback and criticism, as well as your general thoughts on the matter.

Talent:
Seed of Corrution:
1 soul shard.
You imbed a demonic seed in your target dealing x damage after 3 seconds to all target withing y yards. If the target was afflicted with Corruption when the seed detonates, this spreads to all target hit (retaining duration etc.).

Pathing to:

Flower of Death:
Your Seed of Corruption now costs 2 soul shards, but will also spread agony to all targets hit by the detonation (once again, retaining duration and, more importantly, stacks).

It is my idea that the three second window would allow players to cast the seed, then quickly applying DoTs before it blows up. The increase in cost would allow players to really think hard on whether it is really worth losing two Malefic Raptures to apply them (I’m not a huge fan af MR, but this is not a fix on that specific spell). This would also play into the idea that the Affliction Warlock is a spec that revolves around patience, as you would absolutely need to bank two shards for every pack in M+, thus making your decision making process when finishing a pack paramount for your succes on the next (not dissimilar to Fire Mages banking SKB). In single target situations you could skip it entirely, and in cleave scenarios you would really consider whether it is worth using or it is just padding.

Please let me know your thoughts

There are tons of possible QoL changes to this abomination spec, which used to be my favorite spec. But they insist on ignoring the calls for it. I don’t even know how does the class designer X person gets away with this disgusting out-dated spec design. Flowless, interupted, undone spec. It does only damage but having zero fun while doing m+.
