I was wondering if there is a method (patch tool) which can remove outdated data from the data folder.
My wow folder now is at 71.2GB, while a new reinstalled game is at ±50GB?
That is about 20GB of useless data. And it keeps increasing with every patch…
I don’t want to reinstall my game everytime there is a patch… there has to be like a tool I can use to repatch the game to only have useable data.
Im pretty sure the game is bigger than 50GB with the 8.1 patch included.
My install folder is 64.6GB.
Wondering about this one myself too.
You can do one of two things, a full reinstall or delete the data folder and use the launcher to reinstall it, mine was at 69gig until I did the latter then it went back to 54gig.
If you connection is slow or limited you may just have to stick with it.
Since my last post from 5 days ago my install size went down to 55GB somehow. Seems like WoW doing garbage collection? I did not do anything with it for sure.
