Reduce transmog restrictions

With more customizations coming, why not reduce the transmog restrictions a bit?

For example, let an Unholy DK transmog 2 1 handed weapons and frost dk 2 handed weapons, or let fury warriors transmog 2 1 handed weapons.
Let druids transmog 1 handed swords etc, you get the point.

I want to be able to use my transmog without speccing frost for it

Agreed…

If I could my Fury Worgen warrior would dual wield a pair of fist weapons… Something with claws on it…

If I was allowed I’d even hide those damn 2handers and fight with claws only :wolf:

Think about your manicure, you can damage your elven nails this way.

If you can’t use a weapon you shouldn’t be able to into transmog it.

Hey now… I ain’t no sissy blood elf…

And I was talking about my worgen :wolf:

Disagree… Somewhat…

Sure, some exceptions I’d agree to. Like rogues dual wielding 2handers or transmogging their daggers into staves.

But I don’t see the problem with fury warriors transmogging their 2handers into 1handers if they want.

Why, it’s very logical. If a class can’t use something you shouldn’t be able to transmog your weapons into that type of weapon.

Isn’t this already coming with SL?

Well. Popular legendary warglaives that was used by warriors and rogues in tbc can’t mog it. They can still use those.

Nice to see you agree…

Fury Warriors can in fact use 1handers… They can equip it after all.

Warriors can equip just about everything. I wouldn’t want them to be able to transmog a sword into a shield though.

So no dual-shielding then?

It’s bad enough people want to backstab with maces/fist weapons or transmog a 2H into dual wield and vice versa which would make the animations really weird. Now people want to transmog into weapons they can’t equip?

Why not let me transmog my staff into a 2H axe then?

Laughs in hunter

How about dual wielding daggers on frost ?

First world problems.

Funny because i see this guy rolling around forums telling people: “Ive never seen more stupid ideas from yours”

I mean, there was a forum post talking about a sword and shield DPS spec not too long ago,
I’d kinda like to mog my fury warrior into a sword and shield user.

I also agree that classes shouldn’t be able to transmog into what they can’t use, such as Druids and swords. But possibly mogging an Unholy DK with 2 1h weapons does sound neat.

You know, I see people go on about “But muh animations”, but I don’t see how they would look “Really weird”, as classes have universal animations, meaning that they all have the same type of animation for an attack. If they used different animations depending on the type of weapon they used then you’d have a point, but with what we have now…

Well it does depend on the weapon type, I would say. I don’t think a shield really counts as a weapon, and ranged weapons are… Well, ranged weapons.
But don’t try to tell me that it would be gamebreaking to have a Hunter use a two-handed mace, when they can use swords and axes just fine.

I don’t see why you shouldn’t be able to 'mog your staff in to an axe. You’re still going to be casting spells, maybe you just took on a more battlemagey persona with an axe instead of a staff?

2H are supposed to be slow, dual wield is pretty fast, imagine that attack speed with a 2H mace.

It’s not gamebreaking, it’s just that they never used those, ever. It’s part of the fantasy. Same about mages wielding axes.

And before anyone quotes me just let me say I don’t want any part in the whole Twin Blades of Azzinoth debate. Maybe it’s because I’m relatively new, I don’t have a strong opinion in the matter.
