Reduces petri-potion to 30 seconds duration

If you f up in a raid or dungeon, you failed and should pay the price. Going petri + alt-f4 should be considered exploiting. Remove the possibility to avoid death this way. If you decide to take the ultimate risk in hardcore, which is RAIDING with PEOPLE (lol), then you should not have a get-out-of-jail-card.

“Hi lets play hardcore where you die if you f up but lets break those rules so we survive even if we f up”

Sounds like you should be playing softcore.

Agreed. Petri has no place in Hardcore at all imo.

If they banned hearthstone and bubble to prevent people from having a safe escape, it means similar tools should also be banned, Light of Elune and Flask of Petrification.
Otherwise, just allow paladins to bubble hearth like it’s intended, if we are really into #noChanges .

Slight difference.

Bubble-hearth is available only to one class.

Light of Elune is available to one faction, but it is also a one-time use.

Petri flask is available to everyone.

So what is really your point ?
Like you’ve said, everyone can safely avoid dying, so what’s the goal in disabling bubble + hearthstone if you can do it anyway with Petrification ?

Because petrification costs money and is available to everyone?

Well, actually, it is available to everyone, but it just takes time to get it. And time which can be reduced depending on how many bots we have on the server to farm the materials.
The top raiding guilds already have plenty of petrification pots.
If Blizzard nerfs it, the game would become less pay to win and more hardcore which is what people pretend to be.

Yes. That’s basically what hardcore is, over preparing for everything. That is literally the ‘spirit’ of hardcore.

Yep, the spirit of hardcore is to pay 50 gold and press the flask of petrification, leave the group and wait 1 minute, to safely be teleported out and prevent dying, which is the reason why bubble + hearthstone was disabled.

Why worry about what other people do, though? If your version of hardcore is no petri flasks, then don’t use one. Btw, I’ve never used one myself. But what other people do in this game, when it has no effect on me, doesn’t matter to me

So let’s allow bubble and hearthstone to be used as it’s intended to work together in Vanilla and don’t “worry about what other people do”, “If your version of hardcore is” no bubble hearth, “then don’t use” it.

you are right, removing Bubble + HS was a bad move by blizzard. People wanted Classic, not some nerfed sh* version where some obese middle aged men on the forum discuss what mechanics should be removed and turn Classic into some odd version nobody but them want to play.

I don’t really understand why they haven’t addressed it.

I could understand them hitting Bubble Hearth, because if they didn’t then Paladin gameplay would have devolved into only playing while Divine Shield is available, and logging off between CDs whenever you were forced to use it. Likewise with something like Reincarnation or Soulstone.

I don’t get how this any different, though. If anything, the fact that it’s accessible to everyone makes it even more asinine than Bubble Hearth. Whether your raiders show up or not is now determined by a finite (in the moment) resource as well as the accessibility of it, instead of a cooldown.

“Soz dude, I don’t have a Petrification Flask on hand, I can’t come to X.”

No it was 100% the correct move for hardcore. Having a fail-safe out is circumventing what HC is all about. Having petri+leaving group+alt f4 is circumventing what HC is all about. Its supposed to be high risk, not pay2win.

a problem for 0.01% of players. no normal player just relaxing after work will hit lvl60 and start to raid in hardcore.

You dont even know what HC is about. Who made you the person to decide what HC is ? HC means, you cant resurrect at the ghost healer. THATS ALL. Theres NO reason to take ANY mechanic that prevents death from the game and still call it “Classic”. They could have called it “Classic nerfed for WoW Andys” if they want to make a broken Classic Version where they systematically nerf game mechanics to break the game.

It would make paladin the most op class in the game with a 1 hour cd 100% effective fail safe. Not really the HC spirit imo.

It would aslo make it easy for paladins to greif instances letting them bubble hs to safety. (tho you can also do this with flasks yes)

Yes, Paladins would have a 1 hour cd fail safe. so what? You , again, misunderstand what Hardcore means. Hardcore doesnt mean “MAN you are soo rock n roll, hardcore man, its soo difficult now!” , Hardcore means that you can only die once. It doesnt mean you should manipulate Classic in a way to make skills of classes worse, so their chance to die increases.

If you want that, you want a “Hardcore Hard Mode Server” , but thats not what I subscribed for. I want the old Classic Game with perma death, not a butchered Classic Version where all Classes and Professions lose significant parts of their tools so that they cant avoid death anymore. Thats bullcrap.
