I am trying to get a refund using the automated system but it is failing, it then advises me to contact a GM which seems almost impossible to do, please help!
Not every request can be refunded via the automatic system, and in cases where the refund is one that cannot be authorized by the automatic system for whatever reason, you will be directed to contact a GM for a decision on the refund.
So, it sounds like its actually working as intended.
I understand what you mean but this is well within the time period for a refund, also it states there is a technical issue at the end of the transaction.
It would not be an automated system if it was not intended to be an automated function.
Subscriptions
We’ll refund any unused World of Warcraft subscription within 14 days of the purchase.
We won’t refund subscription time lost due to a suspension and/or permanent account closure. For permanent account closures and suspensions longer than 15 days, we will cancel upcoming recurring subscriptions.
Contact Support through this option, you should be able to create a ticket below the order:
https://eu.battle.net/support/en/help/product/wow/166/1152/solution
If you’ve not logged in at all or haven’t played sub a lot, then you’ll make the most chance on a succesful refund. Make sure to not login after submitting the request.
I believe the automatic system will also refuse to refund a subscription, if you have played any gametime on that subscription, instead it will defer to a GM to decide if you’ve “played it too much” as it were.
The issue is I have tried this a few times (different browsers as well just in case).
It tells me the following:
"### Oops! It looks like something went wrong.
We could not complete your request. Please try again or submit a support ticket if the problem persists."
The ticket gets instantly closed and then to log in and speak to a GM, which I cannot work out how to do as it just makes me do the same thing in game.
Does the same thing happen if you create a ticket under this category?
That one worked, thank you!
