So I know in TBC pet speed was normalized at 2.0 , but regarding classic would you want a 1.0 speed ( faster speed) or 2.0 ( slower speed) pet cat.
Someone said that the Ghost Saber from Darkshore is the best at 2.0 speed, but I see broken thooth is at 1.0 speed…
Wouldn’t 1.0 speed be better than 2.0 ?
The dps of both 1 and 2 speed cats alone will be the same but there are some slight differences. The 2.0 speed cat will hit harder with flanking strikes which is why you will see 2 speed cats a lot. 1.0 cats hit more often of course so they are better for spell pushback but there is not a lot of spells being hard cast in SOD currently so its slightly less useful than it used to be for PvP but its still something.
There are are few more things for example a fast cat will get more out of gift of arthas and probably can save a point or 2 in frenzy, depending on your runes could proc invigoration more often as it will attack and thus crit more often unless this is also normalized but I have never seen that said before. The difference is minimal honestly.
