Something something bad workmen…
It’s almost always prominent. Even if Blizzard did fix said issues by using said methods, I just wonder what the new set of problems will be.

Depends on what issue gets “fixed”…
Let´s take teh LFG Deserter debuff as an example… Originally, there was none, and it was only your realm. . Soon after, when it got expanded to teh battlegroup to reduce queue times, but still in wrath, people complained about people both being terribad /trolling and /or constantly leaving the groups.
SO votekick was introduced, as was deserter.
Fast forward to cata, LFG pulls GB, Tank is a or a , and decides to afk until he gets votekicked so he doesn´t get deserter. Deserter gets updated to also apply to kicked players.
Fast forward to TWW, tanks queue specifically for ara +DB and leave after first boss, because it drops their item (or doesn´t) and after 1 boss is down no deserter applies. Deserter now applies for more or less teh entire run.
SO now tanks still do the same, but instead just grief the grp with an extended DC because they think they´re smart, and get votekicked, which expectedly propmts for calls to make the deserter system more draconic, while simultaneously people are now regularly getting griefed by others votekicking them so they can´t loot´t roll on “their” item from boss X.
What IMHO needs to happen is that the players doing this antisocial bull simply need to be removed from the game permanently after 2 or 3 offenses, with no recourse or means of appeal. Nobody needs them anyway, and all they do is frustrate other players and help drive fresh blood away from group content.
Great recount of events.
And precisely why it’s never a good thing to be so demanding of technical changes to social problems. It’s why I never understood the argument that toxicity = caused by mechanics.
Yeah, it’s true that there are genuine problems with M+ as it is right now. There’s no one denying it, but at the same time it’s not as implausible nor an insurmountable issue as some complaints made in many threads here make it.
As Magiola rightly pointed out, there is a lot more exaggeration than there is actually players wanting to look at a problem and properly solve it. And somehow, any responses to help out on that front are either seen as immature, delusional, braindead etc. what have you plethora of insults rather than maybe contemplating the idea that maybe such suggestions - such as guilds and communities - have merit.
Like right now, I am concerned my post alone is about to be targeted for elitism.
