So yeah was basically kinda hyped on getting my first tier piece but… You see I was allowed to put my cloak into the thingy and I thought huh… Cloaks aren’t apart of the tier sets right? I still pressed the button tho and now my pvp haste/vers cloak is crit/mastery and I have to wait another week to get a tier set piece lmao. I made a ticket to blizz but if I really have to wait another week I’ll quit the game.
I’m still confused how people can “get confused that cloaks aren’t part of the tier set” get shown a preview of the item that they are going to get after converting it, have to wait a few seconds to confirm that they’re going to craft the new item, and are still surprised by the outcome.
Then again, Blizzard did argue that players wouldn’t be able to find PvP vendors, so they should’ve seen it coming and given us a “revert” option for up to 2 hours.

You can preview the item and you still did it and now you made ticket, why?

Well, it is smart to watch a video on YouTube explaining games features if you are not sure how they work “Kelani” recently made a very good,clear guide on how it works.
I probably would have thought like you, if i haven’t watched that.
On the other hand i understand that watching videos to be able to understand the game is also a debatable topic, but given the complexity of MMORPGS as a whole it it’s quite necessary to regularly watch someone more knowledgeable than you, coz game won’t explain all to you, and silly mistakes will happen as a result.
I can understand it, they think that this catalyst converter is going to give them tier, they don’t realise that they can put pretty much anything in there and convert it to the equivalent raid piece.
It was a disaster waiting to happen.

They don’t read wowhead/other guides or the blog/blue posts. They just log in and play the game. I don’t think there is any need to be insulting about it.
Anyone can make a mistake. Especially as the Catalyst has been billed as a catch up for tier.

You’ve made a fairly silly mistake. It happens to the best of us.
You’re trying to revert the mistake by opening a ticket. No harm in trying, so why not?

because of a mistake that you’ve made? That nobody is to blame for, but you yourself?
Sorry, but I can’t help but consider this attitude silly.
I get that part, but there’s a preview, right besides the slot where you put the item in. If this person didn’t know on which slots the setpieces are, sure, but them being “confused about cloaks not being a set piece”, being shown a cloak in the preview, yet still going through with it?
That’s nobodies fault but their own.

Blizzard believes their players to be quite stupid, see PvP vendors, so why do they sometimes act on their belief and make things foolproof times 10 and sometimes they don’t?
There is a literally preview window to see the item.
Being ganked is no excuse for making mistake like this
I’m not suggesting it’s not their own fault.
Just that it was bound to happen to many the first time they use it because they do not understand.

They wont do anything about it. Theres already screenshots of ticket outcome on na forums. Its basicaly we are sorry and we cannot do anything about it, you have to wait till next week.
To me. Im sorry, but this is unbeliveable. I get that one or two ppl can make a mistake…but the sheer amount of players that messed it up, even though theres detailed explanation how to use it for like 3-4 months everywhere on wow head, mmo champ, forums, official blue posts, you have preview of the item before you make it, the game will ask you for comfirmation before you make it and ppl still put out suprised pikachu face when the boots or cloak arent tier set.
If im the person responsible for ingame ticket i would have a hole i my forehead from all the facepalming. In the past some mistakes were understandable, but this one is on players and frankly its a case of sheer stupidity, language barrier or unbeliveable oblivion.
I would also like to see if blizz implement their blue posts to be shown ingame right after you log in to the world a window pops up with upcoming fixes, tuning, changes etc etc. Because its obvious that some ppl dont read anything about the game.

Tier pieces are helm, shoulders, chest,wrist and hands if I read it properly. I ain’t the brightest star in the sky, but even I could work that bit out.
