Region-wide auction house

Now with the recently added region-wide commodities, are there any plans to make everything region-wide? Seeing all the profession reworks and auction house being in the main hub (Valdrakken) in Dragonflight im wondering about it.

I have a feeling that maybe region-wide commodities was a test to see how it would be. In my opinion it would be highly beneficial for low pop servers. With not enough people on the server certain things has a high price.

Also there is the frustration that something never sells like battle pets, transmogs or gear. I would love for auction house to be region-wide at some point in time. Im pretty sure Guild Wars 2 has this.

More server merges would also be nice, considering that the world doesnt feel alive. WoW is as much a social experience as it is an RPG. And the problem is that most low pop servers stay that way because people switch to higher pop servers. So its kind of a vicious cycle.

Oh please no , crafted tmog is the only thing making me gold and I play on Argent Dawn…
If every realm did it , you would have 100g skullflame shields and 300g fel steel longblades

Everything would become so worthless yet Blizz keeps putting the prices up on mounts from vendors each expansion … where would players get that income to buy them ? Oh yeah more tokens

I can already see Dragonflight herbs , skins and ores going for next to nothing when you got the whole playerbase throwing them on the AH. We are going to have another WoD situation when it comes to end content materials.

But maybe the game needs this. Too many whales out there making it hard for more casual players to be able to make a bit of coin on stuff they craft.

Blizz are often looking for gold sinks. They could make this the final one and then consider selling the really expensive mounts a lot cheaper instead, and not deciding to remove a load of gold out of the game with expensive must-have mounts every so often.

Casual players used to be able to make money harvesting, can’t do that any more.

If causal players aren’t making gold with a server AH, they certainly wont be making any with a region wide AH with way more people under cutting/posting

Yes please it will help the low pop realms for sure you have to have empathly for others and not just think of you.
These once busy realms are now dead and people should not suffer due to blizzard not helping them.

One things for sure i might just change servers even though i feel azuremyst is my home. Cant sell anything on AH that isnt mats or flasks. Trying to sell a mount or battle pet is impossible. And runecarver gear can sell but that can sometimes take several days on my server.

Theres also the problem with me now wanting to move to a high pop server which will leave my server even more deserted. We need less servers or more merges. Different mmos have way less servers going around. In WoW now its an insane amount compared to how many players.

Also theres very few times you see other players. In cities the most ive seen on the weekend is 20 players. This also makes world quests longer and leveling longer. Youre pretty much playing a single player game…

Region-wide AH would make me think that many players would move to lower pop servers. Since it will be much easier to farm herbs and mining since there arent many players online to take nodes away from you.

I am really hoping for a change!

Oh please yes, there are far more realm when the commerce of those is not even possibile.

When i find rare pieces i might as well learn them cause there is no way to sell them, those markets are that in some realms.

So yes, bring a fair competition everywhere.

It will completely ruin the economy for us low pop realm crafters having to compete with the big pop realm whales who can afford to undercut and relist their stuff all day long.

I am not even a greedy crafter, and neither do I have that much gold. Region-wide AH increases competition and lowers the prices - aka the profit margin decreases to a bare minimum. This will cause crafters to choose between stop crafting for the AH, or craft more for a chance for maintaining a significant earning.

If some crafters are quadrupling their production for maintaining a gold making viability, it means many other crafters have to quit due to oversupplement as well as their lack of income from their unchanged production quantity. This is basic marked economy with supply and demand.
