its quite ironic that in expansion tht has "flight " in title you cannot just … fly
only have to use this abomination of gliding - just because again - they had 0 faith in this - just like they had 0 faith in thorgast in SL and in warfronts in BfA.

and to anyone who says “get used to it” - i wish you 1 thing - so that when you get into nomad m+ you get 4 people with 0 clue on gliding everytime youdo it. that would be suitable punishement for saying nonsense.
Dragonflights are the factions of dragons. The story is heavily based on the dragonflights. The title of the expansion is called Dragonflight. I fail to see the irony, sorry.
Personally I think it should have been both options available from the start. Use DF when required and for activities that require you to use your dragon mounts. Normal flying for anything else. I am neither a fan nor adverse to DF but it does require that extra bit of skill and concentration when I actually just want to mindlessly go collect mats. If they worried that you can just use normal flying to collect glyphs then they can make it that it does not count if its not a dragon mount. Lets hope they activate it sooner than later.

6 vigor and charge one every 5 sec while flying fast.
You can basically stay in the air permanently. And flying is so much fun now.
Regular flying should definitely return as the more covenient, but much slower option.
But i hope Dragonriding carriers forth as well.
Right now with all the upgrades, the only things the regular flight is better at is for AFKing and for going up the top of very tall places.
there is even an upgrade that gives more vigor each time you gather from resource nodes
maybe its time for you to stop playing. its a great addition and easy to use. if you cannot learn that… you need to skill up.
It resembles real flight way more than “swimming through the air” flight, at least if you’re a big creature and not an insect.
imagine telling someone on the internet how they should get skilled using a virtual glider lol.
Not everyone has to like glider flying style and i always say if you like this there is nothing bad about it but 2 systems should have coexisted. I personally just find dragonflying annoying and this exact mount system was the reason i never even bothered playing gw2 while my friends keep showing me and force me to try their gw2 gliders.
they are complaining about pressing 2 buttons, how easy can it be.
Fury warrior probably wasn’t a great choice for them then I guess
There is nothing hard about dragonriding, its also much faster than the usual flying, I’ll use this gladly over our regular flying, and I was one to be very upset at pathfinder because I absolutely hated it.
Dragon flying is awesome ppl are just too lazy to learn new things and they want everything on silver platter…just go and collect the glyphs it will make the flying waaay better
I dont find any find pathfinder achievement so we are not going to get normal flying at all.
I would argue with Whirling surge, and fully upgraded tree, it’s easy to climb

I agree with you here, personally I’m really enjoying Dragon Flying atm but I get some people won’t. I don’t really play WoW for the big 3, I dabble but I prefer open world stuff and that’s something that’s been greatly ignored in recent xpacs. Blizzard’s biggest problem for years has been trying to shoehorn everyone into doing everything and it’s failed every single time.
I think if they bring Pathfinder in with 10.1 or 10.5 if they go that route, it would’ve given people who are on the fence enough time with Dragon Flying to have decided if it’s for them or not.
For those that don’t like it will either have to try and make enough noise to get regular flying added earlier or sadly, wait.
No one is gonna unsub over a flying that is even better than original flying. Keep dreaming, champ!
Hopefully never. Dragonriding should completely replace the old system.
The one advantage normal flying has is gathering and also just AFK’ing in the air. I think for that reason they’ll have their place, but I am glad we are at least not forceably grounded at the start of the expansion and dragonriding is really fast.
I just hope dragon riding doesn’t become an expansion-only feature. Would be a huge letdown if we went back to regular mounts next expansion. I would be FOR them creating a differently-themed mount in the next expansion, but the core system should be in place & possibly improved.
