How long until Blizz changes the drop rate on this item?
Being able to use it to buy the mount is reputation locked - so why can’t the drop rate be changed to be significantly higher, with bad luck protection, but only drop for those who have the requisite rep to make it drop?
This content is now two full expacs old, with the third now newly launched. Despite claims of making reputations warband wide (over time granted in respect of older reputations, but we’re not holding our breath for when Blizzard actually deliver on this promise) all that will happen when the Rajani does become a warband reputation is that people will start farming it on multiple alts - which they are currently prevented from doing with the scale being Bind on Pickup as of right now.
Please consider this suggestion for adding to any “Quality of Life Changes” list you might have.
My point is that it is locked behind a horrible reputation grind that has no fast track options except grinding it out (I don’t believe it has timewalking tokens yet [happy to be proven otherwise] - not that it matters to me as I spent the time grinding it out through the invasions, and dailies).
Why isn’t it just on the vendor at exalted?
Why did they opt to lock a low drop rate behind a rep grind - this is doubling down on awkwardness for the player.
Um, yes, apparently the Mount itself does not require exalted to be able to be purchased. You do obviously need the scale to purchase the mount. The mob (Rei Lun) that drops the scale is as you say available if you have the invasions unlocked.
I incorrectly thought that if you were lucky and got the Scale from Rei Lun at friendly, honored or revered, you would still have to wait until you were exalted to be able to use it /exchange it for the mount itself.
Yeah, I’ve just checked that myself, and stand corrected. Thanks for raising that in my awareness - although it is a little late as I am exalted and had I been right (which you’ve proven me not) I am still only waiting on the 2% drop rate.
