Reintroduce Service Medals please

There are A LOT of people who don’t have 750 of them to get a mount.

Currently I think the only way to get them is to do the warfront QUESTS, once per cycle, and even that will be gone with Shadowlands launch, since I doubt warfronts will still be there in SL (even IF they are, they’ll be deader than now).

Could we get even just 1 Service Medal per world quest? Or something?
Or make them account bound, MAY BE enough combined to get something…

It’s entirely enough that you’re throwing all the BFA systems into garbage by launching next expansion, don’t take away the other farmable stuff too.

You can get 20 from each honorbound paragon chest.

Not anymore.
Only from the warfront quest and heroic warfront quest (which is 80 per cycle I think? But there’s probably only like 1, at most 2 cycles before SL and I doubt anyone would do WFs even if they stayed).
According to wowhead, all other ways of getting them were disabled with prepatch.

the assaults give 5 medals too

you get service medals from assaults like 4 or 5. you get service medals from darkshore/arathi wqs a day like 4-6 and you get 20 for every honorbound paragon chest -> unless they changed anything in prepatch ofc.

i just did warfront quests in arathi and i got service medals for wqs…OP are you trolling ?:stuck_out_tongue: nothing was removed

I am swimming in medals, and I’ve bought everything off them including lots of xp potions… there’s multiple sources for them.

This was the advice on wowhead comments before prepatch. Does this no longer work?

YOU CAN GET MORE THAN 430 Honorbound Service Medal / 7th Legion Service Medal PER WARFRONT CYCLE ( around 24 days )

THIS IS HOW:

  • HEROIC WARFRONTS = 95 MEDALS per 22-26 days (1 CYCLE)

STROMGARDE = 30 MEDALS (normal difficulty quest = 15 & heroic difficulty quest = 15 )
DARKSHORE = 65 MEDALS (normal difficulty quest = 15 & heroic difficulty quest = 50 )

  • WARFRONT ZONES WQ’s

ROUGHLY 5 MEDALS per day.

  • ASSAULTS = 5 medals per assault.

There will be one assault every 19 hours. As you may miss some, we can safely say: one assault per day.

  • Honorbound / 7th Legion PARAGONS = 20 medals per paragon.

You can rush it a little by doing:

1) Assaults = ( approximately ) 1 Paragon per week.
At enemy’s faction continent, assaults WQ’s gives you 150 reputation each and when you complete the assault quest you gain 1000 reputation more.
At your faction continent, assaults WQ’s gives you 75 reputation each and when you complete the assault quest you gain 500 reputation more.

2) 7th legion / Honorbound emissaries = 1500 rep per week.

3) Weekly island expendition quest = 1500 rep per week.

*4) WQ’s on enemy’s faction continent but it’s NOT worth the effort if you have limited time.

ROUGHLY 1.5 PARAGONS PER WEEK.

Grab the Honorbound / 7th Legion Contract for extra reputation while doing WQs. They’re dirt cheap. Supply Caches give 20 medals… and these two factions are the fastest to rep with.

I could see warfronts becoming soloable, just like they made the legion raid finder solo queueable.

Hopefully. I mean it would take FOREVER to do solo unless they nerf it to the ground, but better than nothing.

Since launch date for SL is a month from now, I’ll be trying to get to 750 medals anyways (unless I get distracted), but so far I only got 50 medals on my alliance char. But at least I’m exalted with 7th legion now so the paragon chests should be coming now.
Shame you can’t grind them anymore in WFs, since you get none for doing warfront (only for the quests for it)
