I was really enjoying MOP Remix, saw that the gameplay wasn’t radically changing for the War Within, and thought that I would enjoy playing it.
I bought the collector’s edition as I wanted the statue, artbook, etc.
My daughter has since claimed the statue and decided to decorate it.
I’ve never had high expectations for WOW’s story but the only way is up after Shadowlands. And I’ve not bounced off it like I did in the first few days like I did with Dragonflight, so I’m taking that as a good sign.
I’ve bought the ultra epic edition or how is it called… The one with early access.
Reasons:
I would’ve bought it anyway, I’m always interested in WoW, for now.
I’m excited to play the first chapter of a trilogy, it is something new in WoW and if they make it right, it could be one of the most epic story arcs ever. I really hope I will be proven right. Story is what interest me the most, I’m not that interested in high level raids or dungeons, I no longer have time I’m willing to spend in them (though if friends will pull me back in, I might give them a try, though for the whole of Dragonflight I haven’t touched them and I didn’t feel like I was missing something).
I’ve bought that edition because early access was still within my holidays, whereas normal launch isn’t, so I could play by night and the whole subsequent day without having to worry about work - something I couldn’t do tonight instead. I think it was worth it, I’ve seen people against it and the fact it costs 40 euros and I don’t blame them, to me it was only worth it because of the holidays and personal comfort, otherwise I would’ve bought the normal version just like previous expansions.
I played every expansion since release in Denmark 2005 on and off
EA has currently put me off playing WOW anymore
All my online WOW friends in other countries which I met over the years have sat with me in Discord playing WOW over the weekend and today they have 3-6 level 80s and are ready to play HC
They completed campain and all rep and gear up via trinkets from WQ etc.
I am fully aware that when M+ releases I will be on par with them and ready to play M+ with them, but the feeling of having to “catch up” with them, due to me being against buying EA on pure principle, leaves me with a feeling that I will not play this expansion at all.
But never say never, but that is where I am at currently and for the foreseable future.
I’ve been getting the Collector Editions [boxes] from WotLK to Legion, since then Deluxe Editions were introduced and I’ve been buying those instead.
I’m only interested with the ingame stuff, don’t really care for the physical stuff that just collects dust, never used the mouse mats or looked at the art books.
So obviously I went with the TWW edition that gave the most out of it.
Hero Talents, leaving DF behind, I’ve bought the Epic Edition but not because of early acccess (it’s a big plus, not gonna deny it) but due to the other bonuses.
Enjoying All 3 Evoker specs (Mainly Aug and Preservation) atm and Prot Warrior+ Bear Tank.
