its hard to say patches, because their time is not set, so ill go with years.
ill give it at least 10 more years.
it will have great player reduction, will be sold to other companies several times, but just like ultima online, there will be a dedicated player-base to keep it alive.
Would say they got at least 2 expansions in the pipeline, so definitely another 4 years hopefully a bit longer than that. Although eventually they will have to update the game engine as pc systems get more powerful
Yep, I too believe WoW will finally get overtaken by other MMO’s in the next 5 years unless they really improve the game. This game is currently really for raiders and nobody else.
I dont know when. But last days we will be alltogheter there to watch the last twilight on azeroth. (And puny will be’ blamed for that)
11.0 i would say.
i can see them release a message saying “we are shutting servers and keeping only 3 ones live”, every player will have 3 months to choose a server before is sent to the server with least population"
Wow Will propably last all the way until the end, When technology has become so updated wow looks like a super nintendo Mario world game.
The recepie for WoW and its endgame content and all. mythic dungeon and raids so on and on that keeps players chasing the dragon. No new mmo has so far came close to beat it yet.
You truly don’t. Pluss that WoW has It’s lore and stories. Races and everything ontop of that.
A new MMO could try to copy wow for example, Just with their dragon chase… But without the passion for the Lore and story. Chasing a dragon alone wont be enough.
WoW also had 3 games of Lore and story to build upon on that part before the MMO came out.
I doubt that with the selling. Everything else sounds realistic.
Personally, I say WoW will not survive the next expansion if that one goes as same shallow as Shadowlands. Most players already left for FF14, I myself started playing it (and I can confirm the hype around it). WoW has still some edges over FF14, but I doubt it will be enough to keep the core players that much loyal.
