I just got back from a long break and decided to level a fresh character, i’ve reached cap and started doing all of the busy work and my Heart of Azeroth leveled up super fast. It’s level 67 (3 essence slots). Now i always have a large, annoying notification kindly reminding me that i have an essence slot available. Thing is, i literally just reached cap and only have 2 essences in total so i can’t put anything in the third slot.
I can’t find anything in the options to disable these notifications and it’s driving me crazy. Everytime i hit escape or open the character panel the god damn notification is back up, reminding me about the essence slot.
I’m not playing this character anymore until i’m able to remove these notifications or alternatively am able to get an essence in the next 15 minutes.
Also, if this is a deliberate design decision then it’s kind of insulting that Blizzard doesn’t even trust their players with the ability to disable tutorial notifications.
It’s mind-boggling that a game in 2020 doesn’t give you the option to disable tutorial notifications. Like, just leave me alone. I don’t need to have my hand held constantly in order to prevent me from running into traffic.
Ah yes. That particular notification. Urgh. Sadly you only really have 2 choices; one is to go get a damn essence, the other is not doing enough of the necklace stuff in the first place, i.e. unlocking the slots. So in this case, you actually don’t have any choice.
What’s the easiest essence to get beside the breath of the dying and the crucible of flame? I’m currently in the process of unlocking Nazjatar, does that chain give you any essences?
The worldvein essence from island expeditions is an easy and quick one - just do enough islands to fill the weekly bar and you’re done. Takes 4 hc islands or 3 mythic (but you need a premade group to queue for mythic)
Nazjatar gives two quite fast. And mechagon has one at friendly. And then the new quest line of 8.3 gives another one for each spec.
Mechagon dungeon drops one from last boss.
In just a few days you should have at least 5-6 essences. If you can pull yourself to do pvp there’s one from winning a battleground, epic bg and pvp island expedition.
Get the add on NoItsNot. Only lets the Ui disp[lay it once, it stops the ui constantly repeating it (I mean who thought that would be a good idea) if you so much as look at your game screen.
